Hi Everybody,

I have a 2005 Escalade ESV. My rear heat has failed. Got lots of cold. Can switch from floor to roof no problem and adjust fan speed. I have tried pulling the fuse and battery terminal. Nothing. I believe it is the Rear temp. Actuator.
I call the dealer. He list 2 for the rear. I'm guessing that they use the same one twice one for air temp. and one to control floor and roof vents. Is this correct?
Can I simply change the actuator or are there any special procedures or resets
to do?

Thanks

yes- it is an easy procedure- i just replaced mine with a DORMAN PRODUCTS aftermarket unit-

just start un-snapping out the covers on the rear unit ( passenger side)- then u will see the actuators for the air doors
