hi

this rim has some rust between the wires and its quite difficult to remove the rust without removing wires, any idea how to remove these wires and put it back again after cleaning, this rim for 1991 fleetwood

Just just Naval Jelly and a tooth brush.

You have to have a special spoke removal tool but if you don't know what you are doing you will never get it round again because those are tightened and measured to keep the wheel perfectly round. If you are off you can never balance the tire. I went through this with my mercedes.

Listen to YourMainParadox. Once the wheel is out of round you are done. Just removing rust won't stop the rust from returning if the chrome is gone. You also want to make sure the wheel stays airtight so you don't have to go to radal tubes. Send it out to a company like Dayton to have it properly replated and trued.

If they get out of round it will ride horrible before youd even have a chance to worry about the tires not holding air.
Clean it the way it is. If you have to send them out to get redone it would probably be cheaper to get aftermarket replacements.

Again, use naval jelly and a stiff small brush.
