please tell me there is an alternative to spending $269 each on Monroe shocks for the Z55 suspension. I just cant afford to spend over $500 on a pair of shocks right at this moment and I need to get them replaced as one of them just started pissing oil all over the driveway. I want to stick with the electronic shocks so that all ride control features are intact in the event I end up having to sell the vehicle. Any help would be great.

i can help you out on OEMs
but that's probably not what you want... well it's what you want, but the price isn't going to be (i don't think... i'd have to check)
you could go with used from a salvage yard
but PM me your VIN if you want me to check on the OEMs at discount

Going away from the air ride (which is now crap since your shock is leaking) was the best thing I've done yet. I replaced all 4 with Bilstein gas shocks and struts for less than $250.00 and 40 minutes. The ride is just as good and now there are no worries about the air ride. You can follow this link http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-escalade-ext-esv-forum-1999/210500-air-shocks-vs-gas-shocks.html for the info. Good luck
