I guarantee if you gave 10 of those things, free, to 10 of the 5"3" housewifes there, you'd sell the other 150 households at least one of these! (Mine's bigger than yours, mentality) !! Today they are in Hummer H1 & H2s, Yukon XLs, Excalades, Navigators, and the like. Once they laid eyes on this.......Puff, goodbye to the above! It's a status thing. They cruise the extreme left lane yakking on the cell phone making other (lessor) modes of transportation pass on the right, as they talk about Quiche, movies and the mall, to the one in front of them. Cookie Cutter Unique.

I understand T. I wanted one when I first saw those things advertised. The had a pic of a bright yellow "Navistar (?)" and it was all chromed out....it was sick! I'd have to build another (much larger) garage to house that mother though.

I think ill go to the auction and just buy a navistar telephone truck and remove the work body and go get a used 2000 Ford f350 dooley bed ..then some alcoa wheels .....recadro seats , have my interior guy redo things inside ..then have maco spray it dayglow orange

edit : i shall use it to transport my pocketbike and caddy , itd be like them russian nestling things , pull the caddy out of the trunk of the navistar , then my bike out of the trunk of the caddy

Nice truck, but that goofy looking Ford bed has got to go. Also, maybe someone to let Navistar know that if they want to tout that beast as an off-road vehicle, they ought to change out the highway tires on it.

I'll bet they'll sell quite a few of them, even at that price. I recently saw an R-model Mack cab with a pick-up bed. Same idea, very cool too. The nose of a 60-series GMC will go on a regular Chevy truck cab. That's the kind of stuff us working stiffs gotta make when we didn't have Mr. Howell for an uncle. :p

If you really want a kick-ass, go anywhere, tow anything truck you can find a used Mercedes Unimog and custom fit all the hard core off roading junk you want to them. You can get into a used one of these for 10-20k. They're used all over Europe for military, fire, agriculture, etc.

I knew about the CXT way before it hit news.. still thats pretty sweet.

Ford (owns part, if not all of Navistar) has the F-650 and 750 SuperCruizer. Its friendly'r to the average man, yet just as cool (full leather, amenities, crew cab) but its fifthwheel setup and made for towing a trailer.

Id change it up though.. swap the mil spec tyres and wheels for some mud boggers, then drop in a Navi' HT570 (complete with snorkel), and add a full foglight accessory rack ontop of the cab plus some xenons for the headlamps. All that and you end up spending the same price for a CXT- yet you get so much more! Do you think they'd let me drive it on the roads? LOL
