(Bel-Aire, New Jersey). I guarantee if you gave 10 of those things, free, to 10 of the 5"3" housewifes there, you'd sell the other 150 households at least one of these! (Mine's bigger than yours, mentality) !! Today they are in Hummer H1 & H2s, Yukon XLs, Excalades, Navigators, and the like. Once they laid eyes on this.......Puff, goodbye to the above! It's a status thing. They cruise the extreme left lane yakking on the cell phone making other (lessor) modes of transportation pass on the right, as they talk about Quiche, movies and the mall, to the one in front of them. Cookie Cutter Unique. Rolex 09-17-04, 03:46 PM I understand T. I wanted one when I first saw those things advertised. The had a pic of a bright yellow "Navistar (?)" and it was all chromed out....it was sick! I'd have to build another (much larger) garage to house that mother though. Next thing you know someone will start a Navistar vs Escalade vs Hummer thread too. :helpless: T_Dogg8 09-17-04, 03:58 PM or a navistar vs xlr vs 300c ;) :) Sandy 09-17-04, 04:32 PM he he ;) daacon 09-17-04, 04:56 PM So with a 20 tonne towing capacity (comes in handy when a building needs to be moved) - what do ya thinkg the "body count" would be in the "trunk" daacon 09-17-04, 05:00 PM Today they are in Hummer H1 & H2s, Yukon XLs, Excalades, Navigators, and the like. Once they laid eyes on this.......Puff, goodbye to the above! It's a status thing. so what ? I have all of these and more  ........all amercian made (I think it is by Matell ) majax 09-17-04, 05:48 PM I hope they are not a big hit thing, kinda cool but... Some uses would be: towing semi-trucks and busses dodging gurnades and land mines getting back at your neighboors crap i can't think of anything that weighs 20,000 lbs except a large house or something. Crazy Ralph 09-17-04, 05:56 PM God help us all if soccor Moms start driving these, while on a cell phone, while feeding baby, while watching a dvd on the dash, etc. I'm suprised it even gets 7 mpg! All my Dad got with his W30 Olds 455 was 10, and that was on a good day. Elvis 09-17-04, 09:42 PM Yeah baby, what that big boy needs is an 18" drop and 30" chrome rims. Then I'ma put in 8 tvs with playstation and DVD so my posse don't get all bored and sh!t when we cruisin'. And the honeys gonna be crawlin' all up in that sh!t fo shizzle. Can't have the homies bored now can we. :histeric: Stoneage_Caddy 09-17-04, 10:53 PM I NEED THAT TRUCK! i dont care what any of you say , but i need something like that for my commute to work , its my turn to itimidate these basturds that drive the large sport utes I think ill go to the auction and just buy a navistar telephone truck and remove the work body and go get a used 2000 Ford f350 dooley bed ..then some alcoa wheels .....recadro seats , have my interior guy redo things inside ..then have maco spray it dayglow orange edit : i shall use it to transport my pocketbike and caddy , itd be like them russian nestling things , pull the caddy out of the trunk of the navistar , then my bike out of the trunk of the caddy Rolex 09-17-04, 11:23 PM or a navistar vs xlr vs 300c ;) :) :histeric: :histeric: :histeric: :cookoo: davesdeville 09-18-04, 02:20 AM If these start showing up I know the drivers are going to act like a-holes who think they own the road. People drive like crap as it is, if they know they're not going to get hurt they'll drive more like crap. davesdeville 09-18-04, 02:26 AM Like Conan O'Brien just said, it would be cheaper to buy a hat that says "I have a small penis." 1toycad 09-18-04, 02:46 AM Like Conan O'Brien just said, it would be cheaper to buy a hat that says "I have a small penis." But not nearly as much fun......... c5 rv 09-18-04, 08:08 AM Nice truck, but that goofy looking Ford bed has got to go. Also, maybe someone to let Navistar know that if they want to tout that beast as an off-road vehicle, they ought to change out the highway tires on it. barge master 09-18-04, 12:36 PM I'll bet they'll sell quite a few of them, even at that price. I recently saw an R-model Mack cab with a pick-up bed. Same idea, very cool too. The nose of a 60-series GMC will go on a regular Chevy truck cab. That's the kind of stuff us working stiffs gotta make when we didn't have Mr. Howell for an uncle. :p Rolex 09-19-04, 04:27 PM If you really want a kick-ass, go anywhere, tow anything truck you can find a used Mercedes Unimog and custom fit all the hard core off roading junk you want to them. You can get into a used one of these for 10-20k. They're used all over Europe for military, fire, agriculture, etc. Pimpin_Whity 09-19-04, 05:23 PM if soccer moms are allowed to drive those things, them i'm allowed to put an anti-tank missile launcher on the roof of my caddy :lildevil: Ralph 09-19-04, 05:30 PM if soccer moms are allowed to drive those things, them i'm allowed to put an anti-tank missile launcher on the roof of my caddy :lildevil: We'll all need them if that's the case! I hope that if people are allowed to drive these on public roads, they have to take some sort of special course or test? :hmm: Vesicant 09-19-04, 05:40 PM I knew about the CXT way before it hit news.. still thats pretty sweet. Ford (owns part, if not all of Navistar) has the F-650 and 750 SuperCruizer. Its friendly'r to the average man, yet just as cool (full leather, amenities, crew cab) but its fifthwheel setup and made for towing a trailer. Yet, sure... those are all nice but i want this: http://www.deltaforce.net/deuce/front.jpg Id change it up though.. swap the mil spec tyres and wheels for some mud boggers, then drop in a Navi' HT570 (complete with snorkel), and add a full foglight accessory rack ontop of the cab plus some xenons for the headlamps. All that and you end up spending the same price for a CXT- yet you get so much more! Do you think they'd let me drive it on the roads? LOL barge master 09-19-04, 07:50 PM if soccer moms are allowed to drive those things, them i'm allowed to put an anti-tank missile launcher on the roof of my caddy :lildevil: You say it like it's a bad thing. RBraczyk 09-19-04, 09:33 PM So, in new hampshire, you would need a trucker class license to drive one... | |
