Picked up an '06 XLR-V last week and took it to the strip this past Sunday to get a feel for what it will do in stock form (minus 275 yokohama's on the rear). I also pulled the fuse on the exhaust so that the baffles were always open. Other than that it's stock down to the paper filters and full weight (running 1/4 tank of gas for these runs)

The track was Houston Raceway Park

Temp was 88 degrees with about 40% humidity and 29.9 baro I believe.

DA was right at 2100

Run went as follows:

60 - 1.96 (best 60 was 1.94)
330 - 5.394
1/8 - 8.189 at 89.62
1/4 - 12.635 at 111.72

I started to understand how to drive around the torque management towards my last runs and was blowing the tires away off the line, so I'll go back and lower the pressure a bit and warm the tires up a little more and I have no doubts that I can hit a 12.5 in this current weather and 12.3s this winter at HRP when we see negative DA's. The car is definitely quicker than I thought it would be and would be a monster if it was tuned to have Torque Mgmt totally removed.

Apparently I need a few more posts before I can post pictures of my car at the track :P

Those times are good compared to mine, but glad to see someone else takes theirs to the track.

What did you have your tire pressure at? Also, how did you drive it? Drive, shift, perf mode?

I didn't change anything on the car from how I drove it up to the track.

Front PSI was at 32 hot and rear was at 35 hot.
I kept the car in the sport shift setting (allowing it to automatically shift) and put the car in competition mode (hitting the traction control button twice).

I definitely look forward to bringing it back to the track when it's not so hot out. I know it has low 12s in it for sure this winter.

I generally race my Corvette (the XLR is my wife's new car) but I'll be bringing it out one more time to see what it'll do in good weather...just for the sake of curiosity.
