Barbara Billingsly, the perfect 50s housewife and mother on Leave It to Beaver has died (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=130615696&sc=fb&cc=fp) at 94.

She was also in one of the funniest scenes ever in the movies:

She was like 94, who cares? I don't mean to be mean but if someone lives that long it isn't a tragic loss. I never liked "leave it to beaver" anyway. :nono:

Did I say it was a tragedy? Sheesh, you're all heart, man.

I never cared that much for Leave it to Beaver, either, but that Jive lady scene in Airplane! is brilliant.

I have to agree with the others, Destroyer, your comments sound very hormonal!!

Oh okay, you should pee on her grave then.

I enjoyed her acting. I watched both the original Leave It To Beaver and The New Leave It To Beaver that was on the air during the 1980s. Its been a looooooong time since I've seen airplane, so I definitely need to watch it again. Its probably up there with Blazing Saddles as one of comedy's top 5 films.

I was surprised by the news as I had no idea she was still alive. She wasn't in the best of health, so hopefully she has peace now.

Come on, have some respect and class!!!! I have an aunt who is also 94, and dying, she probably won't live till the first of next year.

Anyways, I've never seen Airplane either, definitely on my "to watch" list, that jive scene is freaking epic.

I watched the new version of the show in new episodes during the day and watched the black and white reruns and night. When I was a kid in the 80s I had a crush on Kaleena Kiff. I think she was 12 or 13 when I was 8.
