I am thinking of getting one of these intakes, but I have read that some have complained of the finish on the seams being poor. Does anyone have a pic they can post of the 07/08 style?

I have an '07. I was just looking to get the volant tube because others have said it will produce the best gains (hvcone?). I also like that I will maintain a mostly stock appearance.

I just looked on k&n's website, and the series 63 isn't legal for use in California :( I guess I could just swap back to stock before smog time..

Remember any gains they say they give you is a raise along the HP curve and not just added to the total. For example, it the truck makes 400 HP stock, the filter may raise that to 402, but somewhere along the curve it may go from 200 to 216 and that's how they claim the gain.

You want to see the HP and torque curves with and without the mod to see what it does in the real world. With that said, I usually done a CAI on every one of my vehicles becasue they sound cool.
