Hi All,

I just read the threads on this topic and each thread gave different answers.

Do the 305 40 22 or 305 45 22 rub when installed on a stock 07 escalade esv?

Is the stock rim at 9 inches of width wide enough for a 305 tire?

Is there a big change in handling/traction by going from 285 to 305?

I read that the 40's have the same height as stock, but the 45's are more comfortable and protect the rims better, which one do you guys like better.

thanks

I just put the 305-40-22's on mine and there is minor rubbing at full lock. I would think the 45's would rub more. I haven't gotten under there to see actually where the rubbing is happening.

Mine rides excellent, put the Yokohoma Parada's on.

305 may be a little too much, as I'd go with 45 to keep the ride as smooth as possible. I'll keep my plans for a 285/45. Thanks!

Ive got 305/45/22s on my new KMC wheels and have no rubbing lock to lock turns on my front wheels/tires. Initially when I installed it rubbed EVERY so slightly on the sway bar, just barely. But all the sudden it stopped rubbing.

The back side rubs just slightly on the inner fender lining (plastic) everytime there is a big bump. But looking at the lining, its just minor. Im looking to probably just cut that small section off of the lining to fix the rubbing issue. But there is no issue beside that.

I like the ride, Ive driven it already 2000miles in 10days and it felt great! Stock ride.

the 305 looks much better placed than the 285's and I love the ride
