: XM Radio has lost their marbles

I bought my SRX in Feb 2010. I had a 3 months trial that ended in May 2010. On May 11, 2010 they charged me $96.11 for a year of service (taxes included). Then on Aug 6, 2010 they credited me for $72.94. I have no idea where this credit came from but I kept my mouth shut. Then I get this letter that tells me my 3 month trial is ending on Nov 4, 2010. Nov 4 is 90 days from Aug 6 the date they credited my account. So it appears that I ended up getting two 90-day trials in 2010.

I guess I'll call up and haggle for a deal when my 2nd trial expires.

No wonder they are struggling financially. Somebody needs to fire whoever did their billing software.

 It's true. I don't even browse all of the forums, but when I'm scrolling down to the sections I DO use, it seems like every two weeks or so there's an unhappy XM customer post at the top of the list SOMEWHERE.

Epic fail.

Perhaps I'm the one who's losing his marbles. LOL! I just remembered that the dealership replaced the radio in my car because of a problem I was having with it. Perhaps the new Radio ID triggered XM Radio to give me a new trial thinking I got a new car.

LOL..........life gets busy doesn't it?

You nailed it! Each radio has a serial # of it's own. XM thinks it's a new car! Consider it a gift for having to go thru 2 radios..........

A search of this forum for "XM Radio" revealed this:

Not sure if it has changed but the XM radio ID is not tied to the head unit. The XM unit is a seperate unit.
