My mechanic just to ld me I need brakes and rotors on my 07. I told him to stick with all OEM stuff....Is this a good way to go?

I just did pads and rotors on my 08. I went with stock style rotors from an autoparts store and ceramic pads for less dust.

I would just stick with OEM parts for the brakes, unless you plan on spending big bucks on a Brembo or Baer Kit. The stock pads are ceramic too.

OK the mechanic suggests I go with Centric???? He told me the stock rotors are fairly rusted looking and suggests I go with a better brand. That being Centric....

I do not have any issues with rust on my stock rotors, they are over a year old now. If he warranties the rotors and claims they are better for the same price, I'd go with them. I have not heard of that company before...

Do not buy pads and rotors from the dealer. You will over pay for the same stuff. I used the Centric parts and they are fine. All rotors will rust depending on the weather, how much the truck sits and were you live. If you have a mechanic you trust, then listen to him/her.
