R1 Concept performance brakes or EBC Premiun Brakes? (Not going for slotted, drilled or dimpled) What pads do you suggest, Ceramic, Metalic or semi metalic?
I am prejusticed in this manner: I want brakes that are "Sticky",
I am NOT driving a truck, but a luxury car, and it should STOP
without constant excessive force to STOP it, AND take it out of me.
If it should produce dust, OK,I'll wash it off.
So my opinion is that ceramic, are harder to stop, than Semi-Metallic.
Yes they last longer, but brakes are NOT that much $$$$ to replace,
as I replace them myself, So I go with Premium Semi-Metallic....

Unless you are racing the car OEM are the best choice. I have a friend who runs a GM parts business and every time I want to go to another brake pad or rotor he keeps me on the straight and narrow that OEM are best dollar wise and performance.
The problem with OEM pads are that they are Just SO DUSTY! Your wheels always look dirty
I agree that, for everyday driving (even hard driving ), ceramics are more of a "fad" item and actually don't perform as well as a good semi.
My choice, Hawk Street Performance. They are low dust, quite, and stop Really Well with less fade than you'll get with OEM to boot!
