Its finally time for me to buy my STS. I'm looking for a pre-owned 2008 but I'm torn between the V6 or the V8. My last car was a 2008 300C so I'm used to the V8 power but the dealer says the V6 would pack a punch that I wouldnt notice the difference between the 6 or the 8. Anyone have thoughts on this? Suggestions? Any advice would be appreciated!

Although I prefer the DI V6, I do think you will notice the difference between it and the N*. However, I suspect the V6 will compare very well with what you had in the 300. I would go out and drive a few.

We are talking specifically the 08 model v6 right? because to my knowledge the 08 v6 is an updated 3.6 high output with 304 HP compared to the 320 the n* puts out

Yes--that's correct. The 2 engines have very different characters and i personally like the high winding nature of the V6, but that's personal preference.

I'm on the V8 side. I wouldn't trade mine. There is no replacement for displacement.

But a STS AWD N* is thirsty.

I have never driven the V-8 (so I don't know what I'm missing), however, the V-6 is more than adequate in my experience.
