He says it is off an old cadillac and that the part number looks to be 1103282. Is this the HEI off a 74-79 cadillac 425-472-500?

Looks to be the right one, looks just like the one I used in the 500. Can still see the blue paint on it

Could you possibly check the part number for me so I can be sure before I buy it?

I've never had the distributor out of either of my 425's but my first reaction was that it looks like a Chevy or Olds dist. Since i was curious I checked a couple on Ebay and they look a lot different. I don't think the one you are looking at is a Caddy dist. Look at these:

Cadillac distributors have a wider set of seal surfaces for the oil passage. That is a Chebby. Although close in shaft length, the two are different in the oil seal locations. This guy is scamming you.

yesterday while I had to make a quick trip to the u pull it, the one about 12 miles from your house, in the junk yard was a 1979 cadillac 2 door phaeton complete car with a hei distributer.
well its not complete now, its minus a hei dist.
I will bring it to you when I bring your other parts..lol..

Alright!!!!! Thankx! Did you pull the wires with it by any chance? I can't wait to drop that puppy in there even though it won't run till I get the broken bolt issue fixed XD.I might have to find the location of this junkyard. The pulleys off the 425 can be swapped with mine to remove the AIR system right?
