Does anyone know if the 160 degree thermostat is a GM O.E.M. part or equivalent that people are switching too? If so does anyone have the part number for it?

All the vendors sell the Motorad t-stat. Same stat that corvettes use.

any of your supporting vendors can get it for you. Not sure I would want to run it in Alberta unless you never drive the car in the winter. These cars are designed to run hot for a reason.

This car is definately not Alberta winter friendly, Im not even going to attempt it, it just keeps the car in pristine shape without all the salt and gravel.

I just thought someone would have a number that works, getting parts sent up costs a lot when you factor in exchange rates and shipping and additional taxes etc etc.

Depending upon where you look, the stocker shows 192 or 195 F. It's been like this for a LONG time too. I thought part of it was to burn off water in the fluids, since 180+ was needed. Hence, less sludge.
