Got a GM "preferred customer" discount offer which amounts to a mere $3,800. Not deep enough for me yet.

Ultimately waiting for GMS for non GM employees like I recieved on my 09. Do you think my pier might rot before that happens?

It's an impressive buyers' market when $3800 amounts to a "mere" discount, huh?

I assume they're not doing the 0%/72mo for '11 model year?

Are you good at negotiating? That mere discount w/good financing & a grind of a deal could still net you a great price.

The economy has been in the tank, folks are walking away from their homes and unemployment is higher than recent memory serves me. Not a good economic picture for anything except Bio-med to name a few. The "grind of a deal" you speak of is where we're at, that's why I'm asking.

0% is not available on 11's. Not yet anyway.

Hell yeah I think it's a buyers market, if you're a qualified buyer and ready to go. If you want a deal you gotta think that way.

The only deal one gets is the deal you, negotiate and that's why I'm asking.

GMS, now called EVA (Employee Vehicle Allowance) is MUCH lower than it was on 09's. The employee price on the Coupe is, wait for it, $250 less than preferred pricing, the Sedan is $1500 and the Wagon is $2000. The days of 5 Grand extra over supplier are long gone and frankly I don't see them coming back. Employee discount for friends hasn't been active yet for 2010 at all. The new GM is less interested in pushing out vehicles at all costs than the old GM.

I tried to deal an additional 2k on a 2010 V but they haven't replied yes or no in 1 week. I'm guessing that's a no.

If any of you are active duty military, the gmmilitarydiscount.com has about $5,000 savings on all V's right now. That is actually how I purchased my 09 right after they were released. Good luck for you bargain shoppers!

I lost my deal on the 2010 sedan and according to my dealer they are all gone. I looked at what I could get a 2011 for, now I'm back looking for a perfect used V.

I was told those reports lag by up to a week but I will make a few calls tomorrow just to double check and report back. Thanks.

WFO, does your 09 have a sunroof?
