So yea, ABL isn't the absolute correct abbreviation for Ambient Lighting, but it comes from the Camaro5 forum i frequent and it originated and stuck there. So that's why i refer to it with that abbreviation. Feel free to argue... :)

Anyways, it was a nice rainy, chilly night last night, so i figured what the heck! I'll get some pics of the ABL so everybody can see! (Also one shot focusing on headlight brightness/distance.)

Anybody want to shoot their shots? I figure the best would be to knock the back seats down, and put aside the cargo cover... although i guess that blocks the front pipes... similar to this...

Oh yes, notice how the drivers door is dimmer then the rest? It's so it doesn't create too much of a distraction for the driver... lol

And that Escalade commercial is right; screw drive it! If this thing had a bathroom, i'de live in it!

These shots also give a trueness to the ABL's whiteness, as "worried about" by another board member in another thread.

BTW: You should have left your navigation map on so we could see where you were when you took those great photos. :D

I just received my 2011 SRX Performance AWD and I don't know how to turn these lights on. What am I doing wrong?

Big, The light strips are automatic. They are not as bright as the second pic shows.
Test them in the darkness of your garage. You may not even be able to notice them
on a lighted street or lighted parking lot. the floor in front of the back seat should
illuminate as well.

Welcome & Congrats on your purchase.

Thanks GMJIM. My wife figured it out while I was playing golf. This is one sweet car. Even better than I expected and I have been reading this forum for 2 months.
