Not counting a built tranny or pistons for reliability and not counting nitrous just yet would would we need to make 800whp? Can it be done with a TVS2300? The the TVS2300 or ls9 blower flow more. I know 900-925fwhp is about max for a TVS2300. Do we have to go with turbos to make this power? What is everyones thoughts? Do you need turbos for this? Did anyone see the build last year for the twin turbos on the V? What ever happened it it?

I'd recommend a 3.6L Whipple. :) I'd also recommend a spare, forged short-block. You can't do it with the stock LSA 1.9L blower without another power-adder. Throw a 150 shot on it and call it a real intercooler! :)

ditto on the forged short block...

I'm sure the stock shortblock can live for a while but a forged shortblock is something easily dropped in. We have made over 900whp on stock bottom end ls2's. I'm not wanting to make this car a timebomb but I would like to know how much head room there is. From what I have seen the ls9 blower is only good for 30-40whp at redline but makes killer power under the curve. Is it only making 40 up top from belt slip or is that all the blower can flow? I fully know the car will need minium axles and the trans built.

The LS9 blower could be pullied down, but 800 RWHP is still going to be a big feat. It's a 2300 blower, so you're going to max it out. Most engines will do a lot of things a few times on the dyno, but it'll be a much different story when you're pushing 4200+ lb. down the track. 800+ RWHP with a shock short-block is a time bomb, and so is 900 RWHP on a stock LS2 short-block. ;)

I don't think you can put a 3.6 whipple. The biggest they make for an ls3 and the only one that might fit is a 2.9. Talked to them yesterday about it.

Does anyone know what happened to the twin turbo CTS-V that was being built up a year or so ago. I think it was out of a shop in Kansas.

They mentioned that but I bet it's a totally different t engine set up as well as blower.
