What are people doing in Canada for extended warrantees? We do not have the CPO the Americans have, so wondering what is best here in Canada.

What is a CPO? We bought a new 2010 Escalade and am wondering about which route to take with an extended warranty as well.

CPO = Certified Pre-Owned
it is the best warranty that Cadillac offers (imho)
used Cadillacs can be Certified by Cadillac dealers only
everyone who tells me they're thinking about getting a new Cadillac gets told by me that they should get a CPO 0yr-1yr old car with low mileage
you get all the benefits of a new car but the warranty lasts a lot longer

Extended warranties have been discussed in the past on this forum, the consenus is they are not worth getting, insurance companies hate to pay out,
and warranties are no different.

If you're buying a car a couple years old from a new car dealer whatever they offer you for extended warrenty should be OK. The problem is usually with the dealer/garage not following the warrenty policy more then anything else.
