Go to the FAQ sticky and then click the link for the Official Paint colors and codes thread.

i have gotten paint from http://www.touchuppaintonline.com/Cadillac and it matched well. i am pretty sure they have your color code on their site.

you might be able to find the SPID label in the trunk (older models had the sticker on the backside of the trunk lid newer ones will have it on somewhere on the spare tire cover, sometimes underneath carpeting)
the SPID label will have the paint code on it
it will look like this
http://www.stuart5.com/images/spid.jpg

if you have the WA number (on the very bottom in the middle) like on that one that is the best paint code as it can be used by anyone with a mixing booth to mix you up some touch up
the U and L codes (11U in that example) can also be used
i bet yours is too old to have a WA number anyways

but take that to the parts stores or find someone who's got a mixing booth and you should be all set

They can't ship paint from the US to Canada. Just look online or in your Yellow Pages and you will find a body shop supply place that will be able to mix you up paint. Any town will have at least one supplier.

The first year for SPID stickers was 84. Before that, you need to check the trim tag riveted to the firewall on the driver's side.

Another fly in the ointment was I went to my friendly body shop guy,he has helped me out in the past with paint, he says his paint now is all water base and would not work for me, as it requires a clear coat to finish it off.

Check around, not everyone has gone to water base yet.

did you have to get the clear they offer too? Thinking about ordering a 12 oz or 16 oz to paint the front fillers, so will I still need the clear to paint this pieces after I spray 'em?

Actually in the province of british columbia it has been legislated that auto paint
is now to be water based.

Ah, going the California route. We'll all be there soon.

Shall I run a group purchase for Canadians needing touch up paint? I can still get the real stuff here.
