Why the hell this is in Dalton I have no idea, but I want to meet who owns it! I about ran over the curb trying to look and take a couple of pictures.

OK, I can see concerns of the owner of this MB from this photo as well. He (she?, no I do not think so) has parked the MB far from other cars in the expense of a long walking distance for himself, but this walking is much better than parking near other cars and then some dings on the door! Also he has chosen the spot beside the the curb, so the car is safe from that side.

I use the same method for parking my STS too.

Actually, it could well be a woman. From my experience, Mercedes, ranging all the way up to the ****ugly McLaren are typically driven by women who are between "soccer mom" and midlife crisis. I have only ever seen a male drive a Mercedes one time. I only know it wasn't a girl, because I got a good look at him as I stopped in the road, approached his vehicle and removed his hood ornament.

I see your point, but the fact that supports my argument is the driver is very careful about the car and is babying it like this, and this fact suggests the driver is a man!

Yeah, I doubt that. We all know you're full of hatred and jealous of anything nice, but I doubt you'd have the balls, skills or time to "remove his hood ornament" in the middle of the road.

Nice pictures Austin, I'm glad someone on here can appreciate a fine automobile such as this SLS Mercedes. :)

Nice ride, but haven't seen one in person yet. Although I have seen a Bugatti Veyron a couple of times.

Although I agree with you somewhat about the gender statement and MB. The vast majority of MB AMGs I've seen are driven by men. Very rarely are they being piloted by a woman.

I've no grudge against anything NICE. My perceptions of nice cars are just widely different than yours.

I've a great appreciation for my father's '67 Chevelle, my Foster Mum's 1959 Cadillacs (both) and my grandfather's 1929 Model A. Just not so much for this lame looking car that I see every day at every other intersection.

Get a little time on the pond, drive a few cars from some of the great manufacturers of the world, and remove your head from its dark tunnel.

Cars, like people, are all different and all support your application of the used-car salesman's slogan "There's an ass for every seat".

Must be nice to live somewhere you see a $183,000 car at every other intersection :suspect:

Somewhat little known fact: Long before the SLS began production, the next generation Viper was already in development. When Mercedes took note of this, they took the chassis Dodge made and used it as a base for the SLS; the two were developed alongside each other until Dodge pulled the project when they were in financial trouble. Mercedes continued working on it and the SLS is what we ended up with.

Actually the SLS is the first Mercedes in a long, long time that has raised my pulse at all. While not even close to achieving the styling benchmark of the fifties 300 SL, it is nice to see a GT car that is somewhat usable (at least in Germany!). I still haven't seen one in person, so I will defer my real opinion of its' looks to a later date!

yeah there is a silver SLS AMG here in the showroom and they drastically reduced the price from last year. $250,000 will get you one here and they squared it off a lot more in the front, etc. to look more like the 1955 Gull Wing and it does. I dig how the doors are designed to blow off if it comes to a rest after rolling it, you might be deaf but you'll survive ;P

So this Mercedes that you vandalized, was that your little sister's stalker's or some random persons you just came across? Because the way you initially worded it made it sound like it was just some random person's car.

Chad, Morgan is still Brit owned and produced. All the rest are owned by foreigners but still made there.

As for the wars, the Brits held on far past their reasonable ability to do so, and I think their sheer determination and awesome leadership would have won them the war, whether helped by us or someone else to accelerate things. After the last big war I think they ran out of gas and took the easy route of socialism, like most of Europe, and I don't think any of them would be winning any wars these days. :)

Welcome to Florida, the Import state. Minivan state too. A truly unique vehicle here would be a station wagon or a Crown Victoria. Extra points for Crown Victoria wagon.

Of course it was someone I knew. Why the devil else would I know to seemingly stop someone at random and seek vengeance on the behalf of the various cars that had fallen victim to the driver's nonsensical shenanigans.

Those were a great car, and still sharp looking 20 years after their debut. Speaking of W140's, I went to the local u-pull r-parts yesterday to help a friend get parts for his '81 Trans Am, and they had a '93 500SEL in there as well. Made me kinda sad seeing it there, it was the same color combo as mine, so sitting in it felt just like mine did, except mine was much cleaner overall.

Chad, those old 92-99 S-class cars will be junked increasingly because they are beasts to keep on the road at any price, much less economically. Nice ones will always survive in the hands of people who love them and can afford to keep them. Kind of like aging teen idols. :)

Amen Orconn. :) After owning several MB's I can say they are out of my system and I think the only ones I'd ever consider owning again are the early 1980's diesels or maybe a 92-95 S-class diesel. Yeah, Rolls are also not for the "under-funded," but at least you get truly fine furniture, a great paint job ...... and that unique and wonderful view down the hood! With the Mercedes you get an OK paint job, furniture that is better quality (but can be bought a lot of other places for much less money) and a view that is only impressive if you are used to entry level!

He was driving in a narrow street inside the campus where students continuously cross the street and speed limit is 15MPH. And yes, you can guess how he was driving! After any stop because of crossing student he was flooring the gas and accelerating loudly and then braking again for another crossing person!:bonkers:

^That's a bit harsh, Dave. My major complaint is that the rear doesn't live up to the promise of the front. The front is all agressive and it's got the gull-wing doors, which is cool, but then the rear styling is just...sad. But that's a complaint I have about a lot of cars today. It's like the designers exhausted themselves getting the front end styling down, then just gave up on the back end.

I agree to a certain point. The front 3/4's is great. The rear just looks more like a standard SLK to me.
