: HELP it wont start!

i have a 1999 sts with 196,852km.my son used my car the other night.he drove out of the drive way..and it just died out..we had it towed to our local garage..they said it needed a crank sensor..it has two and wasnt sure which one to replace..so i authorized bothe..the car started and died..does anyone have any help or a good mechanic with these vehicles.
we just recieved this car from my father and i havent had the guts to tell him its already not working!

Start by pulling the DTC's. You might find a clue there.

They verified the fuel pump is good?

If the sensors did not fix they have to start from the beginning.

They should have cleared and rechecked codes.

Now back from cottage The car started, it ran for a hour and died again..is this a moduale or or could it even be alarm..but if it was key the vehicle wouldnt even start at all would it?

Have to pull and post the DTC codes, otherwise any answer you get is just a guess.

But.... It sounds like your Ignition control Module (ICM) under the ignition coils is going to be the culprit. Its being affected by engine heat.
