Friend of mine told me I "have to see this kid". I am a fan of hard rock (especially 80's-90''s). Anyway I checked many of this kids videos. He is simply amazing!!! My son is 6 and takes drum lessons but isn't anywhere near the level this 5 year old is in. Check this out:

Yeah, I've seen this kid before. The SOAD cover is pretty impressive. No where near perfect, but very impressive considering it's complexity.

Somewhere, Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa are smiling.

That is really impressive! I think it's cool and a little bit funny to see a 5 year old playing System Of A Down on the drums when there are so many people out there who would never even consider letting their child be exposed to any kind of rock music at that age. Rock on kid, and the parents who encourage him.

I want this kid on my team when playing Rock Band. :D

I feel talentless and pathetic all of a sudden.

Great start for such a little guy. I've heard grown drummers who couldn't play as well. (of course, they didn't know it)

I'll look forward to seeing/hearing him play in a few years. As his motor skills and control matures it should be easier for him to steady his timing.

It never fails to amaze me how talent reveals itself at such a young age! I remember seeing Tiger Woods at about seven on the "Today Show" and wondering what the future held for him. As my son was growing up I saw so many very talented young people ... unfortunately so many of them never got the break they needed for their talent to come to national light.
