We're all members of the "ghetto-fabulous halogen headlights" club!

pmpott - are you just installing the bulbs and ballast, or are you swapping out the whole headlight units?

my 04 does not have xenon lights although I tried my best to order them. The typical GM philosophy of first forcing the customer to buy an expensive "package" of stuff that they don't want in order to have the privilege of paying even more money for the one thing they do want does not play well with me. GM is building some really good cars, but screwing their loyal customers over like this is the reason so many people are leaving the fold.

unfotunatly, its not just GM, but many other car manufacturers that are now grouping entire option packages together. So to get one option , you pretty much have to get the entire package.

its history repeating itself.

the reason why the mustang was so popular when it was introduced was because you could order it just as you wanted it,, there was a list that you checked off, the rest of the manufacturers were forcing everyone into the "big package" BS
it bit then in the butt.

but at the same time, the amount of options available these days and the fact that pretty much all the options need to be done at the factory properly make the package bundle a good idea for the companies. If not they would be producing a lot of cars with a random array of options. Probably makes more sense money wise to just have a few packages...I mean you can always special order if you need to. Ive seen a Luxury pakage CTS with nav from factory. But if you were to go to the dealer, it can only be had on the luxury sport model.
