Hi,

Maybe a lame question (couldn't find the answer in the search), how one pulls the codes (present or in history if not cleared) on the STS 2007, is it possible to view them on the navi screen? I don't own yet the STS and at the next test drive maybe I could check if it has any codes.
I will appreciate help.

I think you need an OBD II reader/scanner.

Ah so it's not like in my previous SLS Seville 93 that pressing combination of AUTO, OFF and I forgot what else you could
view codes and view/change some parameters.

Push the blue OnStar button and let them read the codes for you.

You cannnot pull DTCs through the DIC like you could on older models sorry.

Forget OBD-II, your car is Can-Bus and an "OBD Only" scanner won't read it.

Costco had a small OBD/Can scanner for $35 that pulled the generic codes and worked pretty well for the money...

Next, you could look into a professional tool like the AutoEnginuity that would pull All the system codes from your car (and there are A LOT of those) :D

Thanks for the responses, i won't have a scanner for a test drive of the STS, it is a CPO from the dealer

I suspect they don't want to pay the "Cadillac tax".
