Apparently the K&N Replacement Air Filter for the 2010 SRX 3.0 and 2.8 Turbo became available on July 23, 2010. Part # 33-2444. Price is $51.99 with free shipping on kandn.com. I have one in my 2008 3.6DI CTS and I like to think I noticed a difference in power but I'm not 100% sure that it increases power or efficiency over the factory air filter.
I want to get it just because it is available, but is it really worth $51.99 for an extra HP or two? Thoughts?

they have a tendancy to foul up your maf sensor.

True.. But that usually happens when folks do the 50K mile Re-oil service (cleaning) recommended by K&N. I've used them for 15 years w/ no problems on many vehicles. On a 2000 GMC van I personally saw an enormous performance increase (4.3 L V-6 ) over the oem filter. Never in any other vehicle as much. Don't know why...
Now having said that, recent reports show more dirt definitely gets past them vs an oem paper filter! If you're leasing and don't intend to keep it, ok. But in any auto that I intended to keep over 100K miles, I wouldn't use them. However changing the stock filter is VERY important @ 25K miles, maximum.
