It would be nice if I could get the fans to come on b4 it gets to 222 degrees, say 210. Any ideas on how one would accomplish this?
The way I see it it's already 2 hot at 220 plus, am I wrong or what.
Don't re-engineer it. 205-215 is normal operating temperature. 224 is just starting to get a little warm so that's when the engineers decided to start to cool it with the fans.

Perfectly normal: The thermostat starts at 188 and is fully open by 206. The engine is designed for and will run at 198-215 all day long.
Fans run in SLOW with any A/C function set. Without A/C fans go to SLOW at 224 and FAST at 236. 265 is overheat.
Ok that's good 2 know, I have a 93 Eldorado w/ 4.9 and the temp never exceeds 208 b4 dropping back 2 197 er so. Just trying 2 b proactive.
Thanks for the 411.
4.9? Doesn't that have a 4.6 (Northstar). That's what the temps we gave you are for.

GIGO: Garbage In = Garbage Out. (Read: insufficient information = bad advice)
My bad for not making it clear, I was asking about the fans on my Deville w/Northstar because the higher temps concern me. I also have a 93 Eldo w/4.9 , the running temps are lower on this car.Sorry 4 the confusion. My 97 Deville only has 95 K, it was willed to me from a older relative, other than a A/C compressor this car has never had a breakdown.
Better get ready for head gaskets
Maybe, I don't care eather way I like the look the ride the quiet of the Deville. I'll put inserts for the head bolts and gaskets and keep going.
