hey guys

i'm looking for a chrome muffler that isnt very loud...maybe something thats just a hair louder than stock....or even if it is the same sound as stock...just want a chrome one...


anyone have any ideas on where to get one? would i just look for any old one and make it fit??

Does the catera have a dual in/dual out setup or what???

Dynomax (IIRC) makes some good ones and I thinking about getting one for the Q... Youll have to make some mods to get it to fit...

Yes, it runs dual down to the muffler.

I'm considering getting a Magnaflow (possible dual) muffler but I would like to know how they sound first. Anyone heard one yet??

Another user (rbanda) of this forum found a chrome magnaflow muffler part # 642-14830. He said it was a little deeper in sound than the stock, but it wasn't overbearing.

Just a thought.

I am almost sure the catera muffler has a single in/dual outlet setup. I think the exhaust is a true dual exhaust back to the catalytic converter and then it is single to the exhaust.

Everyone seems to think that the Magnaflow exhaust is too loud in the cabin, seems the Corsa Touring exhaust is the way to go on the Escalades.
