: Squeak in Cargo Area

Have 1800km on my vehicle now and have developed an annoying squeak that seems to be coming from the cargo area. Had my son in the back seat and he thought that is was coming from either the cargo rail or the spare tire / storage compartment cover. I removed the cargo rail tie downs, but that didn't stop it. It happens typically when I go over a rough patch of road where the pavement is rippled. Seems to set up a vibration in the vehicle and I get the squeak. I do not hear it on the highway or areas where the pavement is smooth.

Before I have my son climb into the cargo area while I am driving over some rough roads (not exactly safe), thought I would see if anyone else has had this issue.

(Tried searching, but for some reason I only get a maximum of two responses for any search word).

Take a peek in here to see if this is similar. (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-srx-second-generation-forum-2010/195067-liftgate-creaking.html?highlight=squeak)

It could be as simple as lubing some seals/bump stops.

Thanks Captain. Will try some silicon grease and see what happens.
