I need a power steering hose replaced on one of my vehicles. The dealer wants to charge me the book price of 3.5 hours. Seems like a lot of time. It will probably take 2 hrs I'm guessing. Is this how dealers are charging today ? Aren't those book estimates inflated ?

Thanks.

buy the hose, do it yourself.

if you dont know how, look it up. learn.

if you cant/wont learn, then pay the man.

Thanks. But guess what, they changed their diagnosis, to low pressure at idle for the power steering pump. Replaced under warranty.
