I think the escalade run is about over, it is starting to get old now.
The 300c is the new hottest vehicle out there. I think I am going to get rid of my ext next spring when the new 300C Srt8 comes out. That is going to be one sweet car with over 400hp and 0-60 in the high 4's. Plus big enough to drive the family around in. Your impressions?

Thats sad... A 300C is chryslers new car... Just remember the 300 will be old really soon, and in the end its a chrysler. You will be laughed at bc you couldnt afford a bentley ect. This is a poor mans rich car. The cadillac will always be around, always be luxury, and always be respectable.

It's still a Mopar, so it can only be so good. ;) You are comparing a sedan to an SUV? Bet the 300 will not go through snow or mud like my Escalade does, and although the 300 SRT will be nice, I am sure the STS will be finished nicer. :)

It will have 425 hp 420 pound feet of torque but 0-60 in 4's? I don't think so. I think 0-60 in the low 5's and the 1/4 in high 13's. Quick yes, but won't have the ride of the lade. The price? Base price to start in the 40's. Nice but does not have prestige of the lade. Plus with so many different engine options in the 300c, they will be a dime a dozen on the road.

If USA today said scooters were the new escalades would you ditch your lade for one :hmm:

Exactly. The 300C hemi is a nice car. Aside from the wheels, which so many people change anyway, theres really not a significant way to distinguish them from the cheap v6 models. I think the 300C is definitely a passing fad. Soon there will be a new, big, affordable sedan and people will flock to it :)

Wow; If you're the type of individual who will sell a $60k luxury SUT and replace it with some low end sedan that starts in the mid twenties, just because USA today(or some individual writer who is looking for any story to fill up an issue) says it is the new hot vehicle, then please do so and keep on buying Chryslers until you wake up from your delusion. They aren't even near to being called a fake Bentley- THEY ARE CHRYSLERS and furthermore are not respected by anyone who I personally wish to interact with. If you wanna get shallow: Being HOT means looking Rich, successful, and being a "stunner." So, you have the $10K Rolex, Gucci suit and shades, the hot little model on your arm, you get to the valet, and they pull up your Chrysler??? Yeah right. Man, the Escalade is one of the only vehicles in its price bracket that is still able to look good in comparison to $125K S600's, real Bentley Arnages, and GT's, 745's, etc. If you have ten cars, sure get a SRT, but if you're trying to have this as a primary vehicle you are going blow it and try to tell everyone you used to have an Escalade but bought a Chrysler. A tip: Take a lot of pictures of the Escalade and keep them in the Chrysler's dash, if it has one.

What a great idea :hmm: , I think you should trade your Lade for a 300C. I suggest you also invest in a really good bumper-to-bumper extended warranty.....because it's a freakin Chrystler product and you're gonna need it! Good luck. :helpless:

I have just got my Escalade and have a 300C on order. I think the car is amazing even though its a Chrysler. And I don't know how people are going say its a poor mans Bentley if your not driving the 300c around acting like its a Bentley. The truth of the matter is, when I drive my Escalade i don't get the looks that I thought it would and honestly every kid is pulling out 02's or 03's with big rims cause there getting cheaper by the day and its getting played out. I don't think the 300c is a "poor man's" car, i don't understand how you could say that. Everyone has there opinions and because a car cost alot of money doesn't really make the car any better.

IMO, having an Escalade, S500, and a 300 is an interesting collection- But to turn in the Escalade for a 300 is not even an option for me. I don't know where you live or how your Escalade is modified, but my lade breaks a lot of necks, especially when its clean :coolgleam . Bottom line, I respect everyones tastes and opinions, but if you are on this forum and ask that particular question, then the harsh above posts are somewhat inevitable.

my escalade is the new hot truck to have, and for a mere 100k you can have it. you want it?? well, you believed USA today, so it was worth a try. you say price has nothing to do with it and in the same post say escalades are played out because they are dropping in price. if your lade doesn't turn heads, do you actually think a chrysler is going to??? dream on. the hemi powered one will be nice to have, but when there are 20k versions rolling around that look the same, no one will give a rat's butt about your car. go ahead and do it, you'll be back, but with less money.

It seems to me that some 300 owners are trying to prove to themselves and others that their cars are comparable to the highline vehicles out there such as the Escalade(one of the most known auto icons in film and music at this time), while the Cadillac owners on this site are just disappointed that a Chrysler 300 is even being compared to a $60k SUV. Again, everyone should buy what they desire, but let's not compare a Casio to a Rolex. The 300 just can't live up to my personal standards of quality, luxury, and fit and finish. Anyway, I always love a good arguement :D .

If you live in New Jersey 300's are a dime a dozen. I see them more then Escalades now and it is starting to get real corny. I bought my Escalade for looks but also the quality and reliability that Cadillac offers. Although the 300 is a nice sedan it is in no way comparable to a Escalade.
