Did Caddy ever mount a 700r4 to the big blocks?
I just put a 425 into a Jeep truck and was wondering what my options would be as far as getting an OD that has the Caddy BB bell. If they did use a 700, I could swap tail shafts and still use a t-case on it. :D
If anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
Jeff.

The 425 ended production in 79, with a THM400 trans. Bruce Roe

I believe the 700r4 was used briefly behind the Olds based diesels in pick-ups. They didn't last, cause the owners were replacing them with TH400s.

Advance adapters used to make an adapter for that (BOP to Chevy)

I don't think those diesel trucks had 700r4's. I worked on my father in laws enough that I should remember but not quite. His either had the plain old th350 or possible the 200r4 like all the ninety eights and Cadillacs. Any Jeep engine swapper should be familiar with Advance Adapters. They can put almost any trans behind almost any engine.
