So now we loaded up in Craig's (77CDV's) rental 2010 DTS and headed south to Davie, where we met up with Brizzal and his girlfriend and went to a MASSIVE car show! Absolutely amazing stuff.... The DTS was so comfortable that all 3 of us (Me, Matt, The Dullahan) fell asleep in the car while Craig drove on. It was like our dad had bailed us out of jail or something.

Yeah, that's that car show, Jay. It was great. Brizzal pointed it out to us so we went. :)

I'll post more pics, including the BEST vehicle, later.

I got to drive the Dullahearse. I don't care what anyone says about a 307 powered car anymore. It was butter smooth, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Amazing machine.

:hmm: Seems to be a dearth of pics. And considering Roo is the official Forums pic whore, that cannot stand. First, thanks to Ray (Stingroo) and Matt (greencadillacmatt, hereafter refered to as Michigan Matt for reasons of clarity which will become clear later) for conceiving and executing this get-together. Florida is exactly as I remembered it. Anyway, here's a few pics I took from the three days.

Michigan Matt (makes him sound like an Old West gunslinger) and Roo behold the awesomeness of the Dullahearse for the first time.

That's a longboard he's standing on! OK, not really, but still....

The cruise-in proved to be a treasure trove of the forgotten and obscure. 1980 Toyota Cressida Brougham, in surprisingly good condition!

Saturday, after the junkyard, we paid a visit to Ragtops Museum, where the cars are also for sale. It's housed in what used to be a Cadillac-LaSalle dealership, and the building is a joy to behold. So much detailing and elegance! You can really imagine the place in its heyday, displaying the latest in stylish LaSalles and exquisite eight, twelve, and sixteen cylinder Cadillac confections.

The main floor (what used to be the showroom).

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa237/cmchally/Awesome%20Roo%20and%20Matt-Themed%20Florida%20Meet/048.jpg

Show me a dealership today with so grand a fireplace. Why you'd ever need a fireplace in Florida is wholly beside the point.

A triple white 1975 Imperial Lebaron Coupe. The white leather seats were sooo soft-looking. Restore the chrome and stock wheels, and I'd rock it. You can rock it, too, for a mere $4750.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. This morning, I returned my rented DTS ($19.99/day! Thank you, Hotwire!) and boarded a plane for home. FWIW, DFW airport is AWESOME! Makes LAX look like a small-plane field in West Podunk, Back of Beyond. The only real advantage to flying is speed. Given time and choice, I'd rather drive. As long, of course, as I can drive cars like this.

Well, except Rob, whose camera was stolen when he left it on the hood of the Roo Wagon unattended for several hours. For the record, it was a base DTS, dark grey with a neutral leather interior. Rode and drove like a Cadillac. :cloud9:

Sorry dude, that is so not fun.

Michigan Matt picked up the fireants at the cruise night down in Davie. The lighting in the parking lot wasn't terribly good, he was standing on one of the grassy dividers admiring a car, and managed to plant himself directly atop a fire ant hill. It really wasn't funny, because it surely hurt, and yet it was a source of considerable hilarity.

Josiah did make it by Saturday. He joined us at the junkyard and is still there (in FL, not the junkyard). I got to ride in his '93 SDV Saturday night, which was a nice trip back in time for me to my old '89 Fleetwood Sixty Special. I understand from Rob that he had some mechanical troubles today. When the fuel level sensor when out on the ETC I called the "local" Cadillac dealer to get an estimate. I about laughed at the guy. To replace just the FLS and replace the air blend door on the passenger side they said parts and labor I was looking at around $1100 and it would take the better part of a day. I had a mechanic friend do the work for me after I bought the parts and we had it done in about 3 hours in his driveway. The air blend door was super simple to get to and replace.

So onto happier stories...

Today, Matt was at our house, obviously, and he went along for a grocery shopping trip. He rode in the nausea seat again. Here's a pic from his first experience of it last night:
http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/8945/p1010117.jpg

Well today, we were feeling abnormally reckless so we rode with all of the windows down in the wagon. My sister and Matt had feet hanging out the windows, and I had my arm out and such. When pulling into the grocery store, to avoid any U-turns in my godforsaken state, the best way is to cut through the parking lot of the now bankrupt Movie Gallery.

Well I decided it would be funny to slide the wagon into said parking lot, so I did. It flipped poor Matt upside down back there. It was really hilarious. If only I had a camera to see his face... He called the nausea seat "Something like riding in the space shuttle on liftoff".

:)

I'll post more pics when I wake up. Matt, Rob/Chamus/Dullahan/Hearseguy, and I ate at Denny's in my home town after having stopped at my house and scaring the neighbors with both the hearse, AND its train horns. :D

Looks like a good time. I had a mini meet in Washington this weekend. Saw LS1Mike at the Elks car show in Bremerton (across Puget Sound from Seattle) and got to drive his Trans Am WS6. Pics and review to come. Today, before heading home, I met up with Billc83 in Bellevue, just east of Seattle and checked out his '88 Allanté. Pics of that and the rest of my weekend to come.

Yeah, someplace we're missing the most EPIC photos, which include, but are not limited to:

Me after Josiah's car died the first time, but pushed on in spite of it (In true Marine Fashion) where I can be seen in an engine bay in busy Rice-River I-95 traffic, diagnosing a lack of Fuel pressure.

The New Carbon Fabric hood option for twenty-year old imports.

The guy at the junkyard trying to threaten me before fleeing when I- Wait, nobody got a photo of that epicness?

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.

The greatest Balloon Animal in existence. It actually earns even more points, as our own Lupin made it when the Balloon Animal guy at IHOP said he didn't know how to make Pink Unicorn Torque Factories.

Side Note. Sting, when you put the FUNERAL flags away, the reason I wanted them in that storage thing on the side is because they have a magnetic tendency to follow the doors out of the car. All the way home I was hearing this grating sound when my car's right fender got close to the pavement, particularly at low speeds and when I finally checked, I witnessed such epicness as the flag was lodged in the sealed door by but the tiniest particle of the rubber stopper on the end.:)

I got to drive the Dullahearse. I don't care what anyone says about a 307 powered car anymore. It was butter smooth, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Amazing machine.

See not bad? That's what I meant when I asked if your wagon was SUPPOSED to shake that much when you touched the gas.

I took care of that car of mine that has officially leaked every possible fluid except for fuel and broken basically everything in the engine bay, but the block itself.

FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION.

Yeah, I had fun taking the wagon around the neighbourhood. I'm not accustomed to driving something with the capability of making U-Turns, so that was AWESOME. Kind of springy with breaks that just seemed unnatural, but neither of those are BAD things. I kind of figured Matt would want to drive my Brougham back from Denny's, and not just because of his difficulty getting out the first time. It was very interesting for me, as I have never been a passenger in my own car...and guess I have still never been a passenger in the SEAT of my car.

^Yeah, basically it does. By me, there are tortoise crossing signs, because hitting an adult tortoise is roughly the equivalent of hitting a pile of cinder blocks.

I was shocked to see deer crossing signs up US 192, because I've seen Floridian deer and I don't see what the danger in hitting one of them is. They're no larger than cats, but hey, at least it saves some of the wild pygmy deer we have running around down here.

It seems that in all cases, the further south you go, the smaller the Mammals get, but the larger the reptiles get. Works for me though. Anyone get a photo of that beautiful Burmese Python? She had a rather unusual skintone. I think she was a local captive bred.

Basically what I've always figured. It is also because of a matter of prey/Predator animals. Naturally, one or the other (North or South) would win this bout, having the Predation levels higher. Since Mammals are a main dietary point of large reptiles, the Mammals naturally get smaller if they are being eaten, whileas the reptiles get larger.

Also I failed to mention, Josiah, I am LOVING the whitewalls. Where do you go for your tyres?

@ Matt (Lupin)Thank you, sir! I got my tires at Firestone, and, get this, I also have lifetime alignment and balance on them. The tires themselves are Firestone FR380S tires, which may not be the top end ones, but grip well, ride smoothly, and do their jobs well. :cool2:. That's also the reason I chose Firestone to fix my fuel pump: I've used them several times, and they're always willing to work with me whenever I'm financially tight.

To Mike, Austin, Craig, and others:

Firestone actually treated me right, considering the fact that I was from out of town, and their first fuel pump was defective. They actually had to put in the fuel pump and the entire assembly surrounding the fuel pump (the correct part name for it isn't coming to mind right now), which would have cost me $200 more, but the store owner cut me a break since I was from out of town and didn't charge me for the extra work. He also gave me 50% off the diagnostic charge. All in all, I made out fairly well considering the needed repairs. The fuel pump now runs at about 38 psi and delivers fuel like a pressure hose: smooth, constant, and plenty strong. -BIG GRIN-

And Dullahan, (Irish brogue) yer picture's comin, sir!

Everyone easy on Bro-Ham, he had exams and I strongly support anything having to do with Funeral Homes, as without them, I may have gotten stuck with a Prius and I'd have never had that lovely childhood of mine.

I recall there being a photo of the belt someplace. I need to make another buckle for Matt and one for Sting (Chevy) as promised, besides they ORCHESTRATED the whole event and I owe them something, Preferably something made with Authentic (as Matt calls them) Dullaparts.

I should open a Rat-Rodder fashion industry.:alchi:

In a way, it's good to be back. I lost my voice entirely by the second day, I'm not used to speaking to people or going that long without alcohol and both had a serious effect on my linguistics.

P.S. Told you it was your fuel pump, Josaih. I also called the hefty repair bill. Sometimes luck turns against you, but at least you know the fuel pump is good for the future. did you get the codes you already had taken care of while there?

Funny Story, most people don't know "The Luck of The Irish" refers to bad, bad, BAD luck, hence why Pikeys come equipped with Hearses.

Really blurry in that image, but they're completely off their stalk thanks to a bit of dremel work and they are held in place at the tops of my gullychains with some rings from my suite of maille actually. Kind of gives an example of the materials I used making these out of some once far more "normal" boots. Aside from all the steel plates that you can't see and a lot of the interior structure, you can make out the laces, which are connected by wall hangers modified to swivel in place and twist forwards or backwards. Been doing it all my life, kind of gives you an idea where the other strange ideas I get come from. I see an image in my head and say "Yeah...I can make that"

Bro-Ham, we need that one Cherolet or Sting won't make it. Besides, how many times do you see someone who actually owns a Little Red Wagon.

As for Marco Island/The Keys/Naples. I don't know, where the devil it is, I've just been there. I suppose it is technically in the gulf. Let's not go there, BP sabotaged it anyhow.

GPS? Who needs that. All I need is the name of the place we're going or the road it's on. If not that, I can follow. Actually, they are a modified version based on my last pair, which had survived every Mosh Pit I've been in, even the Alexisonfire one at this tiny little place this one time...all up until the Dropkick Murphys St Paddy's Day concert, where they died. Rather than rebuild them, Is tarted over, as the soles were wearing thin. I then built these. The irony is that at places like The House Of Blues, my shoes are not permitted inside and I need a propane torch to disassemble them.

While leaving the DKM concert though, I met the band's Limo on the highway and got a thumbs-up and someone took some photos of my car (Irished out to the max) so someplace, the band has photos of me.

Why are your boots "forbidden wear" at the House of Blues? I take it you no longer go there due to the affront to your chosen style of dress?

No, if there is a good band playing there I will go, but only after I use a selection of tools to dismantle my boots. (Have gone a total of three times in my life) but they are forbidden, because they assume I am there to kill somebody. They have tried to forbid me from carrying my keys, because they look dangerous. Likewise, my sporran chain is not allowed, so I have created a leather sporran belt for those occasions.

As for the Kilt, yes they are Wool, I do however own a denim one as Craig stated, as it is not as likely to rip, stain or tear while scavenging car parts at the junkyard and I also own another made of heavy, toolbelt-grade bull denim, complete with lots of steel rivets and toolstraps for the occasions I need such a kilt.

Everyone makes the kilt/hot weather joke, but I don't think it works that way. Yes it may be open at the bottom, but don't hot air and humidity rise? Now imagine wearing a full nine yards of heavy wool fabric around your body.

Still more comfortable than pants, which just seem totally unnatural and should be used exclusively for decorating the sides of your Buick.

No, No, No.

Roadmaster Hearses are COMMON, but I kept seeing this same one for sale. Matt saw the photo and thought the tombstones painted on the side were pants. They weren't pants, but Sting decided he could imagine me driving around in it screaming "I Wear No Pants" out the window. It also had a few Grim Reapers and I believe a biblical verse on the rear door.

http://images.topix.com/gallery/up-UJVI42DBN0NJSRAQ.jpg

As with most cars, Roadmaster Hearses just do not appeal to me when they are white. I saw the strangest Burgundy one being used as a First Call vehicle for sale locally. I contemplated purchasing it, but alas, I am out of parking space. There are these parking lots they built for Condos up the street though that they never actually built the condos for...Hmmmm...

They are a more southern thing. White has always been a funeral colour accepted more greatly in the south, probably because it matches the architecture more, which in turn is probably because white deflects sunlight. Another reason I never really dealt with white hearses in my cemetery is that the Celtic people prefer as much black as possible in their daily lifestyle, so it flooded the whole mountain.

And blue, brown and occasionally green or burgundy. I once even witnessed a hearse that was Pink and still in service.:hmm:

I do not see many down here, though the Becker funeral home has a black one, the other two nearby have none. One of them HAd a white one and I passed a mysterious silver one on the road one time. Also, sources indicate that a black hearse "like mine" turned up in Haines city, a few miles up Highway 27. It may be that same mysterious doppelganger girl...

There is a really nice funeral home in Sarasota with a Roadmaster funeral coach that is burgundy with a white vinyl top! They also have a matching burgundy Roadmaster wagon, no vinyl top, as the first call vehicle.

All the rolling stock I've seen in Sarasota is non-black and very nice but pretty old. Silver and white are most popular, I don't think there are any black ones. Sarasota County has the highest cremation rate in the state mostly because it also has the highest transient population with all the seasonal residents and tourists. I don't think I've ever seen a funeral procession in 6 years of residency and it's not surprising because most everyone either seems to be cremated or shipped up north.

:)

everyone seems to be shipped up north.

Because Zombies are less of a threat in the north because they freeze for eight months of the year.

In all seriousness, I have seen a burgundy Brougham Hearse with a white vinyl top:hmm:. Words could not describe it. It is...well, it just IS...

Still waiting for Matt's photos.

He fell in love with my car and found a Hearse for sale locally and the next day tells me in the early hours of the morning that in Rum's defense, at the very least it makes him feel like a pirate. I cannot argue either of these, as I own a hearse and am also awake in the early hours of the morning pondering alcohol (though for entirely different reasons, as producing Mead can be a profitable industry)

I envy his ability to own more than one car. I wish I had that kind of available parking.

No, no, no. He didn't buy it. He went and got some photos, which show the condition WAY better than these photos. There was also some interior distasteful, though not irreversible "modding" done to the hearse...ehhhch...

Anyhow, he does not want to buy it, because his Coupe is his main focus right now. I still envy his ability to own more than one car...

Anyhow, he promised photos on Monday.

I'm such a ****ing trend-setter.

I can move up by him and have enough land to own a series of cars, abuse his help to swap my engine and purchase that Hearse and change it from that questionable colour combo.

Looks really fun! I was working so I wasn't able to make it, but Sarasota 2011? I think I can make that.... Noelle wants to go back to Tampa Bay.

Key West is really nice and I'd be down for a trip there too. As for all the talk about it and the 2 hour drive from Key Largo to Key West, check out this thread with plenty of pics...

Ever since I took the Jeep there, I've wanted to go back with the BMW (Noelle)

Had I not gotten Hearse I'd have a Jeep and none of you would ever have known me.

Yeah, the I can't seem to find any more photos of the "Pants" Roadmaster, but even this photo is testament to the crappiness of Custom Paint jobs.

Don't get me wrong, Ive seen some BEAUTIFUL ones (Whether or not I though the art was good, it was certainly stunning artwork nonetheless)

I have however seen one Hearse with a custom paintjob that I did like (except the rear door) but I would probably have kept it standard, as it was such a fine classic. I saw a very well done one for sale recently with a series of images painted over it, all flowing together well, but still wouldn't drive it.

EDIT Oh, and then there's George Barris' Kargoyle, I'd drive that...but I still would prefer it black.

I know he made the boots himself, but wondered if there was a name for type of lace-up boot that he made, or does he need to make up a name for his unique design.

Ooh, while searching for updates on Josiah's video of his testing out Lupin's Battillac, I found that I missed this post.

The proper names for such boots are "Frog Stompers" (Paddy term for buckled boots traditionally of of five or seven buckles, but sometimes less, especially if they are only half-length rather than full length) or in most cases my preferred terminology "DAISYROOTS" while-as smaller half-length boots, merely at ankle length (typically for women) or shoes (Some legendary artifact I've never heard of, but is probably akin to a car's "trunk") are known as "Ones And Twos" They are quite often made of non-footwear-related materials, such as the aforementioned wallhangers, maille rings and Cadillac Emblems on mine (and the padlock on one of them nobody probably noticed). A friend of mine had herself a set doubled-up set of gullychains suspended from modified Buick emblems, for example.

You'll find a bit of Irish Slang when compared to it's proper name has a tendency to rhyme, as do our poems and toasts.

Josiah, you need to post that video so we can talk about something more interesting than my poor taste in fashion.

Just the premium package includes interior wood trim and a chrome shifter. That's not some aftermarket stick-on wood, it's from the factory. I'm still looking for an OEM premium faceplate for the navigation system, which I installed myself. The one I got my hands on not being wood trimmed.

The-Dullahan
07-29-10, 12:10 AM
It's nopt a Mort-o-Taxi, It's a Maggotwagon. Branwen is her name as it is the of Gaelic derivation, the feminine variation of Bran (as a vessel should be Female) and Bran translates into Raven. I chose Raven, not simply for it's it's connection to death but for the REASON Ravens are so associated with death throught poetry and lore. This is for the Goddess, Morrigan, Irish-Born goddess of War, Magic, Death and Patroness of all warriors and witches. The Phantom Queen was quite fond of Ravens and used them as her calling card, as well as took their form frequently. I must hold Her in highest regard of all my obscure, forgotten deities, as She is my Patron Deity. We do not CHOOSE a Patron[ess?] Deity, we are given unto them in a large complicated Zodiac. I happen to have been born in her Cycle year, on her day (of the week day (o the month) and in her month. This also explains the reason my twin died in birth, as that was associated with her and it is no surprise I was randomly brought into a cemetery of all places as a child to be raised in the ways of combat, which is about as true to the Phantom Queen's hand as one can be pushed. She is not of course my only deity (hence my complicated religion) and not necessarily the most important, but my Patroness all the less. For this reason I must request October 31st off every year as a Religious Holiday, which in itself works out for me as I always get it, because nobody else requests it off. This may well have something to do with why I was so randomly guided to that old, forgotten Hearse in Salem when I needed a car and may as well have something to do with why when random occurrences postponed it halfway through it's travels to FL when I moved here and needed it shipped down, it suddenly arrived on October 31st, the day She most in tune with the needs of Her children. I eventually settled on that anme after "getting to know" my chariot and it has remained since...Also why I wear a Kilt.

Yay, disturbingly complicated and overtly long stories involving why I chose to name my car that. If I get another Hearse or anything else, she will too will have to earn a name.

Also, I am not born in Ireland, I am the first true American (PROUD to be an American and will NEVER be caught dead, no pun intended, owning a Foreign car) generation in my bloodline (I technically own half of a castle there, which is odd as I am a LOW class citizen with no money and I can move basically move there any time I choose under certain conditions and will possibly inherit it fully someday, though I'd rather not as that would mean a dearly beloved family member of mine would have to die...long story). Interestingly, I've two Mothers, the one who raised me and the one who simply gave birth to me (And possibly my secret twin that supposedly "died") and even that is discredited by some of my family who swear I was truly adopted (as the first child died and my parents were heartbroken)

The one that RAISED me was a Scottish immigrant who served alongside the IRA (Don't start with politics here please, I'm just saying) and purchased up a sum of land and a few smaller cemeteries, created one LARGE cemetery (with a library inside of it) and that is basically where and how I was raised (Explanis a few things) she is also a big fan of classic cars and I learned to drive at twelve, partly in a 1959 Cadillac Hearse...which I will someday have my own, but possibly not until I conquer the world.

In a way, you're all lucky my life turned that way as why else would I appreciate Cadillacs enough to buy one and I'd have turned out like the 1/2 of my family from my birth mother's side and have a thick Staten Island Italian accent and drive a Lincoln Continental with a baseball bat under the seat. Who'd want that when they could have a fight-thirsty Pikey with an even harder to understand habit of speech in a Hearse with a barbed-wire-wrapped cricket bat in the back.

My life is too wrought with mystery and strange deeds as it has never followed a set and I am quite an anachronism. May haps Sting was correct in labeling me as enigmatic, but at least I always have a good story, usually related in some way to whatever subject matter is being discussed.

FUNNY STORY:

Recently, for no apparent reason, I was compelled to travel someplace I knew not existed, nor where it was whilst in another part of the state. I recall telling Matt the story of cutting across the airport at night (racing a small plane) and through the gate on the other side before driving down a one-way road the wrong way and ducking away from police (pulling over some drug-dealer or something, not me, but there were at least four cars stopping this one BMW) and down a small hill. After turning my headlights on, I realized I was in fact in a cemetery as I thought and directly before me I saw something rather puzzling, mysterious enough to give me goosebumps. Apparently, I've an ally even here, seemingly a Lady aamong a possible group of others. If this Sister, Daughter of The Morrigan of mine is in fact a Gallowglass, I may well and most likely know another Floridian who owns a Hearse. The more underground-oriented of you may also know why so many Hearse Owners hate Juggalos and why every so often a Juggalo ends up with a Hearse. Anyhow, I left her a small gift/calling card to awknowledge that I exist, to which I am certain she understood the meaning. To those people, this also may explain why I spent the last morning in West Palm searching through all the cemeteries, reading the names on all the tombstones and crypts.

Sometimes, useless, forgotten lore pays off.

Had I the time while I was down there, I'd have developed a logo for you. When we do next year's visit, my Lasertagging system may be back online, thusly I can photo-graffiti your logo onto buildings or any other large canvas of my choosing.

Yeah, from my understanding, as Resident Evil ones don't require headshots, they are simple kills, but at the same time, those PARTICULAR ones are apparently produced with special genetic samples from that same girl kicking the crap out of them with the set of Kukri and they are intelligent and capable of solving problems. If the society HAS to go down in a blur of rotting flesh, I hope we get the intelligent/mutated Zombies from all the modernized video games the kids play these days, as I prefer a challenge. If not, I want Zombies like in Return Of The Living Dead, because not only can I chat with them, but they just don't die, offering me a slight challenge. We'll stand a decent chance for survival as long as the government doesn't nuke us or we don't go dancing nude in a cemetery...that and the world will have an awesome soundtrack.

Do you wanna PARTY? It's PARTY TIME!

Intelligent zombies? Cool, because when they show up and see a bunch of pissed-off United States Marines, they'll have the good sense to back down. If they're stupid, they'll push a fight. :lildevil:

I don't think so, I've met some fairly organized Zombies. Besides, the sheer NUMBER of the Zombies versus the Marines would be a devastating total. TOp that off with that the Zombies would practice TRUE total War. Every second would be devoted to the onslaught of the survivors, while-as the surviving few would have to eat, sleep and such, the Zombies can do nothing but kill, kill and kill. Of course, no number of Zombies is of any particular concern to me, as intelligent or not, I don't think they'd pick a fight with me and even so, from what I've been told by the video-gaming and film-watching community, the Virus that causes Zombies is nearly 100% of the time a Rabies type virus or a mutated strand of the same virus and being as I am in fact asymptomatic to Rabies, I would be entirely unharmed by the virus spreading The Eternal Waking Nightmare unto humanity. What's better is that I could still CARRY the virus and not only would the Zombies thusly ignore me (Just as they never notice anything else that carries it) but I could spread it to other survivors at will until I was the final Human on the planet, where-as "All Your Caddys Are Belong To ME"

I would never bet on a global or national armed force of any nature to survive such a situation, as the first thing that would happen in a world pandemic invloves several other countries bombing one another and quite Frankly, not only is America a large target, but there is no country on the planet that had nuclear weaponry that does not desire to bomb The United States of America.

Yeah, I am quite talented at ripping parts from cars, but it is better we don't go into detail about that one. Sorry I couldn't get JUST the walnut panels for you, but we were out of time and I am sure they charged you no more for the entire panel and it was a lot more time-efficient to simply tear off the entire door panels, even if the forklift driver DID try killing me in the process. At least we got the seat belt, as the last thing you want to tell an officer when he asks why you weren't wearing yours is that it doesn't work...

Sting, how did you make out with your Blazer's centre console?

I didn't get to get my tail light lense, but as I told Shady McJunkman when he ran to the side office, I can always get one off Ebay (Or pretty much any parts Cadillac on Craigslist.

When I get other things sorted out, I will focus more on the cosmetic restoration of my car, including sawzalling a bumper down to size and making a new left-half for mine. At least between Karli and Lupin we made it out with basically every Cadillac emblem on the lot.

That and I need to get another Caddy center cap for Matt's "Genuine Dullaparts" buckle, as I promised and may as well find myself a Chevrolet one for Sting, but I got the Dodge one I promised for Lady Victoria.

She has an affinity for the late 60's muscle cars for their appearance, but seems to prefer Oldsmobile 455's and Cadillac 500's over Dodge engines.

Yeah, I found the song on Youtube.com

Scary, scary stuff.

At the same time, she seems quite fond of rusty, black Cadillac Station Wagons.

Well, the genuine wood trim panels on the doors and CD player will be one hell of an interior upgrade, and I can track down the panels surrounding the steering wheel later.

Had I known we'd get suck waiting behind that group at the checkout anyhow, I'd have had more than enough time to remove those last three bolts and get that piece. Still a fun experience.

Just got back from a 'fun' weekend in Ocala with Karli and her family. Got to witness a shotgun wedding. Neat.

Anyway, as far as Zombies vs. Marines... I'm pretty sure I'd put my money on the zombies, not just because of sheer number or determination, but you have to consider their superior brainpower. If the radio channels went down or a commanding officer died, you would just have a massive crowd of grunting goats running around scared and confused, as no single marine has the brain power to handle any sort of complex situation the way zombies do.
