: front video player disabled while in motion

Just got a new 2010 SRX and love it!
Struggling thru the manuals and twiddling with the knobs, I read that the front display will do .avi video DVDs, but only while the car is parked.

Who wants to sit in 100 degree heat watching videos. A passenger should be able to enjoy them while in motion.

Should I basically just forget about this operation?

Thanks

You might want to check out this thread. (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-srx-second-generation-forum-2010/195337-watch-dvd-motion.html) It certainly made for an interesting discussion.

Congrats on the new SRX!

Thanks Nichelle! ;) As more and more newbies join the forum, we're starting to get a lot of duplicate threads. I believe someone said the "Search" feature is disabled for them. This must be the reason why.

Many thanks for the link with the info and the welcome!

I recall the "no TVs in the front seat" law when the TVs were first invented (I was young back then), but figured with all the distracting nav screens, the rules had changed. :)

I was glad to see some of the nav functions disabled during motion.

Love the forum so far, learning more each day.
