So, i think its been discussed before, and we really could use one here. So i went ahead and made it! It's here! :highfive:

The 2nd Generation SRX Forums: Backseat! (Lounge, Off Topic, whatever you want to call it.)

Feel free to post in here about whatever you want, and hopefully we can keep this thread from being locked and use it for a while!

*As always, forum rules still apply. Just because we're in the Backseat doesn't mean there are no rules. :tisk: *

Welcome everyone, to the Backseat! :D
Most anything from weather, to neighbors, to how bad work was today, can be expressed freely (again within forum rules)!

Well, i'm on vacation, so our family is down in Minneapolis, visiting the MOA, WOA (waterpark), and just getting out of the country. So far, you really really notice the 10x population difference between our countries. Traffic is awful here!! :(
The city of Minneapolis is nice though, from what i've seen. And big, very very big. SRX Nav is helpful here. Very very helpful. :D

Lets see some pics of your beautiful blue SRX on vacation, please...:bouncy:

Welcome to my town!

Ok, Here's our first night stop in Fargo, La Quinta hotel. Pretty nice!

And here's our hotel in Minneapolis, the Radisson! This place is nice and nope, haven't gone in the waterpark yet, that's this afternoon's itinerary...

And this is me checking out my LED driving light, they're nice, but the passenger side light didn't last 3 months.

I don't have a problem with this thread being here, but it's technically against the forum rules about everything in this section being SRX related only. In the future if anyone has an idea like this, please send it over to a Moderator first before taking it upon yourself to change the rules.

Thanks, and have fun! :)

Whew... just got back from our trip. Home safe and sound, vehicles and people are in one piece (minus one LED driving light on my SRX ).
Some 23xxkms round trip, and i'll post some more stats and stuff when i get a little more organized and settled!

I even only got one ticket! Just today outside of Minot... lol 79 in a 65
Man you statesiders (or at least ND'ers) have cheap tickets! It only cost $40! That ticket would have been around $140 in Sask, and $250+ in Manitoba!!
I could get tickets all week at that rate! LOL :thepan:

Ok, so the pics mostly describe themselves, but feel free to ask questions!

Nav works awesome, used it essentially the whole time to get anywhere and find anything, and never had a problem with it! :D

Backseat passenger(s) report the headphones, screens, and audio systems working awesome. Of course hardwired phones worked with better quality then the wireless.

Sask, Manitoba, and North Dakota have awesome terrain for mileage!

Got to see the mall, I'm rather partial to the West Edmonton Mall (MOA's CDN competition). Though the MOA does have a better layout.

And check this out! I got to meet my first NASCAR people! Clint Bowyer, Greg Biffle, Paige Duke :D, A. J. Allmendinger, and Jason Leffler!!
Paige is so awesome, and Greg is hilarious!

Three of us in my SRX, and look at the stuff we packed in here!

And some overall stats!

Nobody likes the lounge idea i guess.... oh well.

Anyways, today, i seen my first Aqua Blue SRX that wasn't mine!! A Luxury model driven by an older lady (sorry mid-late 40's people, thats still mostly double my age :o) and boy did we do a stare down of each other! Except i was too many lanes over to move over to go visit with her. :(
Man does this colour look awesome. :D

Ah, I remember when I was your age (and not yet married). Owned 3 vehicles and drove a company car for a couple of years besides. The 1 car garage eventually was replaced with a new 3 plus car garage and I started cutting down my vehicle ownership after getting married. We just traded our 2 cars in for this 1 new SRX as since retirement we no longer put lots of mileage on cars like we did when both working.
