2011 Acadia Denali, the 3 row of seating family hauler get heads up display.

Why the hell did the CTS-V not get heads up display? It bugs a bit.

How much does that luxury land yacht sell for and was the HUD std or an option? And if an option, how much for the option?

The HUD is one of the nicest features on the XLR. For the high prices being paid for the CTS-V, (and the V coupe being even worse) a HUD is a must. Once you get used to a car with important info displayed just above the hood, you want it in all your vehicles. The other feature they dropped the ball on is cooled seats. The V should have very option they can throw at a CTS in GM's arsenal to justify the inflated asking price. But even as expensive as it is, it's a bargain (performance-wise) compared to its competition. Feature-wise, I think GM could do better. Just my .02.

What features would you want to see included?

The Denali addition starts at $43,220. I think the HUD is standard. It won't be released till this fall, but here is an info page.

Yea thats a huge peev. A nice hud display w/ oil temp/guage readings would be ideal.

I have it on my '02 C5ZO6, but soon got used to not having it on the '09 CTS-V, but I do know where everybody is coming from. Could have been a weight factor, as I have always heard that the windshield for a HUD is either thicker of thinner in the area of the display that standard windshield. I have also heard that the windshield is pricey compared to standard. Don't know if it is true or not.

If I am not mistaken, HUD has always been available in the Acadia SLT2 package as an option, it isn't new for 2011. There are plenty of lower priced cars that have had it, the Grand Prix comes to mind.

Buick Lacrosse has it, the 2008 and 2009 STS-V has it.

This is a car not a fighter jet. I posted before that HUD is useless in my XLR and has no value to me in the V. I either have to refocus on the numbers on the window or on the gauges. Takes just a moment to refocus the eye. Perhaps a milisecond or two quicker to look at the display on the glass. We are not going so fast that it matters.

Just bought a 2010 Acadia. It's part of the slt2 technology package. Nice feature. Pretty stupid our cars don't have rear camera and HUD.

Wow, that Denali body kit looks like shit. I like the base Acadia, but that bumper and those skirts just make it look fat and ugly.

HUD has been available on some GM cars since 1988...that's really not a high-end option anymore.

HUD is a gimmick IMO. I'd much rather glance at gauges and not have to focus on a projection in front of me.

I dont really get HUD. You shouldnt need your speed displayed on the windshield to be a safe driver. I am kind of surprised they still offer it. I would have thought by now, some Grand Prix driver would have sued GM because the HUD projection blocked his view of an oncoming car that he crashed into. It is a pretty slick gadget though. Something to impress your friends with.

I loved the HUD on the 00 GTP I had....I wish my cts had one...

It would be great if the CTS-V had a HUD. And massaging seats, and front parking sensors, and laser cruise, and adjustable height suspension, and a shade in the window, and butterfly valves in the muffler like a ZR1 and transition glass in the sunroof and adjustable aero and CF body panels and a bigger blower and was 1,000 lbs lighter, too.

But then it would cost $140,000, and that would be ridiculous.

Like all features some folks like them and some could care less.

I love the HUD personally. I got used to it on my last GTP and am going to miss it when I move to my next car.

I think they already have one of those. It's called a Panamera :D

I think the Panamera look great in person, it just doesn't photograph well at all.

Like all Porsche, it has nice lines. The rear is just too drawn out. They should have done a more traditional sedan style, rather than trying to create typical Porsche silhouette on a car that is too long for it.
