Just looking for some info: a dealer up in Canada told me they have a 2011 in their compound.

I was under the impression that the 2011 cars are not available until later this summer.

Is there a way I can confirm the model year with the VIN?

Thanks

Sounds like bait and switch.

Thank-you for this. Turns out that it is in fact a 2011 (based on the VIN they provided at least)

I doubt its a 2011 - they probably have one on order so are giving you that VIN, unless you've seen AND touched the actual car.

It's not totally out of the realm of possibility.

Doesn't the plant take a break in the summer, and then come back onstream producing the next model year? or has the new GM changed that approach?

No break at certain plants this year to keep up with the demand. I think I read that on autoblog.com
