Yep, getting the GS-D3's installed today any the shop that I've dealt with for years, the one that we went over very carefully the fact that there was tire pressure monitoring system that could not be disabled, and that they must be VERY careful, broke one (they think maybe two) of the sensors :banghead:

Really, the incompetence sometimes makes me want to :brutal:

So, they claim they cannot get one for 5-7 days but would be happy to reinstall it at no charge once it arrives. I explained to the the service manager how annoying the alarm was going to be to listen to for that long, not to mention the pseudo limp mode I'd be dealing with...and he asked "What can we do to make you happy today?"

I replied - both FedEx and UPS can get you a sensor by tomorrow a.m. if you act now...he said he'd call back :crying2:

Sorry that's gotta hurt. One more reason to keep a spare TPS at all times.

Same here with the TPS. The alarm does finally shut off but does not allow competitive driving, etc. I was supposed to get mine re-installed today, however the part did not show up. Hopefully tomorrow. I MUST have it by Friday so they've got 2 days to get this done.

I had a nail taken out on Friday and of course they destroyed my TPS. Couldnt get a replacement until Monday. We took a road trip to Houston and back for the Astros games and the vibration at 70+ was HORRIBLE. Could the wheel be out of ballance because of the missing TPS?

So there I am stuck going the speed limit because of vibration concerns, come over a hill and V1 goes off...instant-on radar...but I'm not speeding. Wouldnt you know it he pulls me over anyway: missing front license plate. Gave me a warning.

There shouldn't be any vibration with a missing/broken TPS - UNLESS the installer neglected to balance the wheel when finished? Maybe he figured he'd be pulling it back apart soon enough (lame)... :tisk:
