Does anyone have any diagrams or photos for this? Idk which direction to point everything when I'm reinstalling the timing chains. Any help is appreciated and welcome. I've read several posts but i'm not sure that I understand what they are saying. I don't know where the markings are on the sprockets and I don't know which direction they should point. I wish it were as easy as a lexus engine, line up the marks with the mark on the belt. Please help. :-)

Remember that the harmonic balancer bolt torque is what drives the oil pump - it MUST be torqued to specs.

Personally, I think this is the easiest OHC engine to time that I have ever seen.
Torque the damper bolt to 37 ft. pounds, then turn it an additional 120 degrees = 1/3 of a turn = one spoke of the damper pulley.

Hey Sub, you know any quality shops in MD that do HG repairs? I have a 99 STS with a blown HG, cant find anyone who does insert or studs! Please help!!!!

I do have a question..does anyone knows if the right side camshaf position of the seville 1999 would be the same as the left side.if some body got some pictures would be nice.

Here's the Northstar timing diagram. In SOME engines the RE stamping is moved in relation to the timing dot. Use the dots, not the characters.
