So here's the deal, Ive been shopping around for an escalade for a while now. 07 or 08,low miles(under 30,000). White or silver, can't deal with black...First off I can't believe the price diffference from dealer to dealer for the same truck. I've found 07s for as low as $41,000 to as high as 49,000 fully loaded,08s too... SO, I've found an 08 quicksilver 26,000miles,fully loaded with nav, capt.chairs and 22s..Dealer wants 44,450. I offered 33,000,then 33,250 then 33,500. He keeps telling me that he is taking a loss at 44,450, how can this be?. I love the truck but before I go and offer 44,000, do you guys think I should keep looking? Am I over paying? I just can't believe that he would rather let the truck sit on his lot then make a deal?? Need some senior members help, thanks.:worship:

I bought my Black/Black AWD 07 from Austin,TX it had 18k loaded, with aftermarket 26s, would say it was 9/10 condition wise, not a ding on it, just some small chips on front bumper. I bought this in March 2009, for just over $35k, I shopped for 3 months before finding this deal

I got my 2008 White ESV with 39000 miles for $42k from a dealer in Dallas in March '09. It is an Ulta Lux with Power boards, heated steering, rear ent, pretty much loaded with everything except the platinum goodies. It is in almost perfect condition, with just two minor blemishes I had to look for a while to find. I'm very happy with my purchase.

$44k for 26000 miles and fully loaded? Sounds like a deal to me... not a steal, but it sounds fair. $35k with a clean title would be a steal IMHO.

Not sure of price difference between models...In Jan 2010 bought my 2008 EXT quicksilver, Ultra premium luxury (whatever that is) 22s and all options except power running boards and rear seat entertainment. 9600 miles one owner nearly perfect with a few paint flaws $44,000 --- My thought is now your real number should be between $40,000 and $42,000. Anything under 40 is a steal imo
Good Luck!

Just what I thought. Between 42-43 is a very fair offer. 43,500 for this escalade is the right price for the dealer to make this happen. I'm going to wait until the last couple of days in the month and call him again with 43,500, If it's still available, if not, the search continues. Thanks for your help!

I just got an 08 EXT Quicksilver with Ebony interior with the Ultr Luxury Package, has everything but the automatic runnignboards which i did NOT want, has 17.5k miles and the dealer wanted 43k i picked it up for 42k, not a scratch and the car smells brand new on the inside, you can tell the guy who owned it before me took great care of it.

LOL. Hes asking $44k and you offered $33k, then went up a couple hundred a few times? I would politely tell you to leave, if that was my dealership. No offense.. That is ridiculous, and wasting everyones time. He wont let it sit... A wholesaler would pay him way more that your offer...

Make a serious offer, if you want it. For the low miles, I think its fair... To find one for less, you'll have to get into the 40-50k range on miles.. I dont think $44k is that bad for the truck. You are paying for the miles.. Which to some is very important. I purchased a 2007 with 55k on it, because I plan to get it, well into the `100's.. And the value will be shot at that point anyway.. But these trucks run, as long as you want them to. I'd go get it, if you like it..

I can tell you this, I have a 07 with 23,000 miles with clear title, and still under factory warranty that I listed on autotrader about two weeks ago for $38,000. Since then I have had about a dozen calls but everyone has either wanted me to offer owner financing, or wanted to low ball. I have priced it at what I believe is a very fair starting price, as there are no others on autotrader priced as low with the given age and milage.

I saw the car.. Looks gorgeous. However, the problems are color, wheels, 2 wheel drive. It has everythign else going for it, though. When I was shopping for my ESV. The loaded white and blacks, were selling in days. but the gold ones would sit..

Your price is awesome.. Give it some time,. someone will pick it up... the miles are awesome..!!!!

The 33,00 in my original post should have read 43,00. Sorry...

Carmax has a 2008 with 37,000 miles for <$36,000> in Jacksonville, Florida. I purchased a 2008 with 21,000 for $37,000 near Orlando on 6/23/2010

you can compare prices with the used stuff at sewelldotcom. they usually have a great selection and pricing is pretty much at the market for a Cadi dealership. You can get them down maybe $1,000 or so. I bought a 2007 lux with 38,000 miles for $38,770 from sewell back in 2008. The window sticker was still in the glove box. It listed for $66,000+ new. I shopped for over 3 months before I found the one I bought. I think $42,000 would be a good offer. But if you like the suv, get it before someone else does.

In case you're curious, a few weeks ago I bought a 2008 black Platinum edition escalade, with 38,000 miles, for $45,500.

It is in MINT condition. Very impressive. And the Platinum Ediition is like a $17,000 option, or something like that.

$45,500 well-spent. Here in Canada, a new one (2010) is about $100,000. So I was happy with the deal..

The GM Full size SUV's hold their value like no other... by far. Demand is still outweighing supply on GM full size used SUV's due to the shutdown last year. It'll be a while before it's back in sync. If it's really clean you can expect to pay big $$$. Still 20k+ less than a new one and it does only have 26k on it? the only thing that hurts is it's 2, almost 3 years old? if you plan on keeping it it's not an issue. If you flip cars in a couple years than it will. Tough decision but do what you can live with, do what makes you happy with no regrets. good luck.

I bought a 2007 lux with 38,000 miles for $38,770 from sewell back in 2008.
What is a Lux? Is it a package?

I have a fully loaded '07 ESV (minus power running boards), and I was wondering if maybe the lux was a package similar to the platinum, since the plat. wasn't offered in '07
