View Full Version : Low pressure port for A/C?

Anyone have an idea where this is located? The one on the line I think is the high pressure port, as my pressure gauge doesn't fit on it. I think the low pressure port is actually located on the accumulator(?) itself, but want to be sure before I add freon.
My A/C crapped out, and I think it's the compressor, and I would like to check the freon levels before I take it in.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I would like to bump this. My gauge doesn't fit the one on the line either. Is the low pressure port on the accumulator for the 07 escalade??

My ac went out also. Older gages don't work I tried went to harbor freight and got one for $40 with coupons etc. Works great. Took truck to carx for to freon recovery $20 then Orielly auto for new ac comp 275 took 2 hours start to finish. Took 3 lbs of freon. I have a vacuum pump so ran that for 1hr.

The low pressure is on the side of the canister on the firewall. It's on the top pointing to the driver side.
