first off, yes, im used to the lope of the cam in the ls6. my previous car was a modded vette with an agressive cam, so im confident when i say this isnt that trademark lopey idle. also, on shut-down, the car shakes. this is not the same shake as when you leave the clutch engaged, because when i pressed the clutch pedal, it still happend... any ideas?

Bad motor mounts and the stock dual mass flywheel contribute greatly to both of those conditions.

ugh. probably both. geez. oh well, warranty ran out this month... guess its time to upgrade.

i can get the vibe to happen at about 2300 rpm. any more, it goes away, any less, theres nothing. its not present at idle, only on startup and shut down and when revs pass the 2300 range.

Yup, time for new MM's and I would reco a new lightweight flywheel too unless your clutch is giving you probs too, then do the whole clutch kit. Lots of us have had success w/ Creative Steel MM's and Monster's Stg. 2 clutch kit. Check this thread about MM install if you're a DIYer... http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2004-2007-cadillac-cts-v-performance/178182-full-motormount-removale-install.html
