Hey all,

I'm going to be in the market for an '00-'02 STS in a few months, and I was considering going the auction route. I've heard that you can save quite a bit of money at some of the salvage/repo auctions. I plan on keeping this car for a while, so a salvage title doesn't really bother me.

I've seen quite a few on E-bay going for around $18K. Is that about as good of a deal as I'll find for what I'm looking for ('00-'02 STS, preferably less than 40,000 miles, good condition)?

Does anyone have any leads for me to follow? Links to auction sites possibly. Does anyone have any advice regarding buying cars through an auction? Good/bad experiences, etc.

Thanks for any help.
-Mike

$18,000 Is pretty reasonable, I hope your end up as lucky as I did and get a fully loaded STS with 44,000miles for only 16,000. They are out there shop wisely. I've never bought a car over the interent or in town on auction. You may just be happier getting a certified used cause you really get a great warranty with those.
