what happens when tat least one spark plug is cracked?

If it is cracked, you are shooting voltage into that area, but getting no spark. It would conceivably be the same as running the engine WITHOUT that sparkplug (I.E. much less combustive power) and could actually be dangerous, depending upon how the sparkplug was cracked and what it was nearby. Easiest solution? Get a new sparkplug.

just did a spark plug job and found the #2 plug to be cracked. But I could not tell any adverse effect from it. Fuel economy was not that great.....but figured it's a big car so..

No, there's definitely problems that can arise from cracked spark plugs.

Otherwise they wouldn't be solid. <_<
