So what's the point of this? To compete against the SRX? Maybe it is GM doing what GM does the best again... creating new badges and models to compete against each other. :)

It's looks like a cross between a Saturn Outlook and an SRX, just not doing it for me, on the bright side the navigator is suppose to get that new 6.2 with more hp and torque than our 6.2.

I think the 08' SRX looks better

I agree with you hvcone. This looks lame. Is it for real, or is it just someone making one up using some graphic designer to mess around with us?

If it is for real, I hope they collect feedback before finalizing on it.

On the bright side, pimps and gangsters would never be associated with the Escalade going forward. But if that's your thing, too bad. ;)

it looks like a platinum edition of the SRX.

it looks like the provoq concept and probably something to squeeze between the escalade and the SRX. using the same body style as the buick enclave.

I'm not sure about this image, I have a friend who has access to the GM Media website and no images of concept or "new" of the Escalade are available for 2010.

Plus if this image was real I think you would see this image in a lot more websites.

It's entirely a poorly speculative photoshop effort from Edmunds. The Inside Line guys are trying to manufacture a story to drive traffic. While I grant that it is a well blended PS effort, people have tracked down the source images of a GMC Acadia (the angles of the photos are exactly the same). Edmunds just blended an XTS nose on it and tried to create a firestorm of controversy.

I really don't think this cuv will replace the escalade.
This is probably going to be fill the gap between srx and escalade.

There IS no gap between the SRX and Escalade. Filling imaginary "gaps" with similar product is what got GM in trouble in the first place. I thought we went over this one, class?

I agree with you on building similar products but
There really is a gap between those srx n escalade.
People who don't think srx is big enough and same people who thinks escalade is too big and expensive.
If you compare there is $30k difference on a base model of 2 .

It isn't really a niche Cadillac needs to be into though. They've got way bigger holes in their lineup than quasi-SUV's, IMO.
