: Platinum fascia conversion

So, more than anything I really like to mod my cars. I've modded my 08 Tahoe, and I've been going all out with it since it's my first vehicle. :worship:

But my mom has a 2010 Escalade and I can't keep my hands off it. I have done a few minor mods to it, such as LED interior, reverse, and parking lights...and I recently just purchased the Platinum cupholders...but now I'm wanting to step it up a notch and put the Platinum front end on it.

Now, I can get the big parts with no problem. What I'm wanting to know is, what small/unheard of parts need to be purchased with it? There is a guy on eBay who sells completed, ready to go kits for $2400, but I can get this done for well under $1000 if I go my own route.

Basically I just want some opinions/tips from those who have done it, and what all little parts I need to get with it. Could my dealer get these parts in a list for me?

Thanks a lot guys.

It would be nice to get a parts list. I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Yeah, I've only got the front bumper, upper and lower grille on my list. I know it needs more than that to mount. So I'm hoping someone here could fill us in.

We had it done by Gerber collision back in Jan after my wife hit someone at like 7mph and cracked the front bumper and grille.

It took Gerber about 3 weeks to get the parts from their GM supplier as my VIN was not platinum I was at the bottom of the waiting list they said.

There are a number of inner pin changes the mgr said. Also since the bumper itself flares out on the side about 2-3 inches more than the std there is a small gap in each of the wheel wells where the inner black molding doesn't stretch to the end of the bumper. They secured it just fine though.

We love it! It looks excellent in WD! The newer CTS guys always give a second look b/c they're similar in design.

I recently just purchased the Platinum cupholders...

I don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but I cannot PM you...

Did you use part#25991706? How did you wire the cupholders? I am thinking of doing this upgrade to my 08 ESV...

If you are not doing the headlights, you can get the front fascia assembly and it is a virtual bolt in. I did the conversion (not fully installed yet) by pieces. The parts Nathan is talking about are:
*15907625 Frt Bumper Covers FILLER 1 $30.59 $30.59 $19.26 $0.00
*15907626 Frt Bumper Covers FILLER 1 $30.59 $30.59 $19.26 $0.00
which properly fill in the area. I think you can use the existing wheel well liners but an additional hole must be drilled. The chrome strip on the hood has to be changed to match the grill because it is longer on the platinum and the hood will have to be drilled/slotted because the idiots put the retaining clips in different places. If you desire to keep your original front intact (for resale or whatever) there is a ton of screws/clips/nuts required including several GM only sourced. So I recommend getting the assembly and selling the original to recoup costs.

*25921258 All MOLDING 1
$75.80 $75.80 $47.75 $0.00

Others:
*25975452 Frt or Rr Bumpers, Covers FASCIA 1 $304.19 $304.19
*15907627 Radiator Air Deflector/Baffle DEFLECTOR 1 $60.44 $60.44
15907623 support fascia 1 51.34
25957701 upper grill 1 348.48
Can't find my info on lower grill

If you need it:
023 25782363 license plate bracket 1 75.06

And of course paint which adds even more ($180 for me and it was bare so no masking or take apart required but Red is more expensive). I do have an extra NEW Black spare front assembly which is complete including grills/foglights/deflector/corner braces. It is a "B" stock item because it has a few scuffs/scratches which may/may not polish out...I haven't really had time to check it.

Headlights and required wiring harness add $$$$$$ for little benefit except looks. The headlight mods on the form I think achieve much the same with greater light output.

That is the part number, and so far it isn't wired yet. I'm taking it by the dealer today to get it wired at 2pm, if they can do it. If not I'll be screwed because I don't know how to wire anything.

And WaterKing, thanks for the excellent info, that is exactly what I was looking for! How much do you want for your front assembly in black? Ours is black so that would be great.

Finally doing this mod. I will try to remember to post pictures when we are done...which should be in a couple of weeks or so.
