I got a clutch master cylinder to install and my internet is down so I have to only use my phone. It looks rather straight forward I just don't want to miss anything . So please post up to install steps if you have it. Thanks, Will

Service and Repair

Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement (CTS-V)
Removal Procedure
Notice: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice in Service Precautions.
1.Remove the driver side instrument panel insulator.
2.Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector.
3.Disconnect the clutch master cylinder push rod from the clutch pedal pin.
4.Remove the clutch fluid reservoir retaining bolt.
5.Remove the clutch fluid reservoir from the fender reinforcement.
6.Important: It is not necessary to drain the coolant or disconnect the coolant lines from the surge tank.
Remove the coolant surge tank mounting bolts and position the coolant surge tank out of the way.
7.Important: Install a rubber cap over the exposed hose fitting in order to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
Remove the spring retainer and disconnect the clutch hydraulic hose.
8.Rotate the clutch master cylinder clockwise 1/8 turn.
9.Remove the clutch master cylinder from the cowl.
10.Remove the clutch pedal position switch from the clutch master cylinder.
Installation Procedure
1.Install the clutch pedal position switch to the clutch master cylinder.
2.With the clutch fluid reservoir connection at the 2 o'clock position.
Insert the clutch master cylinder into the cowl.
3.Align the keys of the clutch master cylinder housing with the tabs on the clutch pedal bracket.
4.Rotate the clutch master cylinder counter clockwise approximately 1/8 turn until fully seated.
The clutch fluid reservoir hose connection will be at the vertical 12 o'clock position when the clutch master cylinder is properly installed.
5.Connect the clutch hydraulic hose and install the spring retainer.
6.Install the coolant surge tank.
7.Install the clutch fluid reservoir to the fender reinforcement.
8.Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Install the clutch fluid reservoir bolt.
•Tighten the bolt to 36 Nm (27 ft. lbs.) .
9.Position the clutch master cylinder push rod to the clutch pedal pin.
10.Push the clutch master cylinder push rod onto the clutch pedal pin to secure.
11.Connect the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector.
12.Install the driver side instrument panel insulator.
13.Bleed the clutch hydraulic system.

so ive worked through the steps until taking the master off.... i got to say, this car was built to be worked on by much smaller people then myself.

one thing though, why doesnt the install write up mention pulling the rain tray? you have to pull that to move the coolant tank.

so ive been searching... how on earth do you get the rain tray off and how do you pull the wiper arms off without breaking them. i'm a big dude and i dont want to yank on this and break something on my car..... again.

so i got the master out, the directions given from gm or whom ever is a bit misleading. but its rather doable.

you would think that would be the point i show a positive clip of me driving of something.....

nope so look below at the issue i noticed. the stock one is on the left. I am sure i can just hook up the one on the right and plug the sensor in and mess with it but i'm going to wait a bit and see what comes out of this with the manf.

how did they install go? looks like i will be doing this later this week broke the plastic piece on the end of my master cylinder rod. do you know if i can just by the plastic piece?
