I'm fairly new to forums and cars. I just baught a 96 Eldorado and I'm afraid I may have been dooped. The service engine light came one the day I bought it and three codes were already on. Two of them were O2 codes which I have already fixed, the remaining code is says PCO300. Does anyone know what this means??? Also how do you clear the codes and service engine light?

Just an engine misfire, might need a tune up, plugs/wires. Tune it up and you won't be disappointed. Let me know if you need the other codes diagnosed.
You obviuosly know how to enter the diagnostics and retieve the codes. After the codes have been displayed it will ask PCM?. If the '96 Eldo is the same as mine answer YES with the HI FAN button. Then answer NO to the next prompts with the LOW FAN button til you get to CLEAR PCM CODES? then answer YES again.

I have a 97 and got PCM131, 300, and 381. The wires are brand new and the plugs have 20k on them. I pulled the plugs and cleaned them to no avail. It has been doing this off and on for 2 days at a time. This time it has stayed for a week. Any thoughs?
P0381??? That sounds like a diesel code
P0381 - Glow Plug/Heater Indicator Circuit Malfunction
DId you use Delco Wires & plugs? I have heard the Northstar doesn't take well to some aftermarket wires & plugs.
