: Is power steering and transmission fluid the same in a 94 seville

I don't think so. The transmission fluid is DEXRON-III (superseded by -VI) and the P/S is GM Power Steering fluid, a clear hydraulic 10W oil.

BUT, and this is a big BUT.............check your owner's manual.

I know years ago we always used trans fluid in the P/S pump, but now it is a different color and I just don't know anymore. I broke down and bought P/S fluid so as not to take any chances.

I seem to remember it was DEXRON IIe in those days - not that it really matters

It does have ps fluid separate from the tranny fluid.

the ps fluid is red though, but its not tranny fluid, synthetic expensive fluid, i reused mine when i had it apart.
