I am looking for tail light covers for a 2007 Escalade. I want just a solid tint. Does anyone know of a cover for this or are the lenses covered with tint film? Which is the best option? I tint applied to the inside or the outside? Any advice?

Tint film is for ricers and would like complete sh!te on a $60K SUV...

I would only recommend VHT Nightshades if you're completely confident in your painting abilities, otherwise you're going to ruin an extremely expensive set of lights, and unless you clearcoat them on top of it, they'll look hazy. I've seen way more amateur/hack jobs using Nightshades than good ones.

Check out Jon's Tinted Tails (http://www.jonstintedtails.com/). He'll be doing my lights here shortly in a medium, and has done a ton of work for me in the past. Professionally painted in a body shop and clear coated, it's the one mod that gets me the most comments and is well worth the money.

I've been hoping someone on here would use this guy and give a review and some pics. I found that website a while back but was hesitant to send my tails and 3rd brake light to him since he said I'd have to send the whole assembly. Please update when you do this Ronin!!

Couldnt agree more with ^^^^

Ive seen the film on cars b4...if done right they can look good..but still would not do it on a Caddy.

NightShades works pretty good if you know what your doing. I did my wifes Accord and came out really good. BUT!!!! Thats cuz I did a lot of work after the spray. I buff them like 4 times to get rid of the haze and then 1 polish and put 2 coats of wax and they look real good....ON A HONDA if you get the drift.

So spend the $$$ and get it done right. Just a heads up.... it will cost on a norm around >$300 just for the rear 2. Ive heard as far up as $500 for 2...plus you have to send them your tailz.

Last..... Since it is a Caddy I wouldnt do anything except get them painted. The look and finish is the best you will get. I had a member from here drive down 3hrs so my friend could do his and let me tell ya he was :bouncy: afterwards. Plus not to mention is only cost <$200 for all 3tailz.

Old pic of mine (when i first got my truck in 07) Since they are painted on I wax them with the truck and they stay lookn nice.

Mine are pretty dark but they still let the light pass pretty good.
