What do you guys think? Been in the market for a Cadillac V for awhile. Ready to pull the trigger soon. Just have to find the right one.

Service history looks clean on carfax. Had a replacement transmission but otherwise looks like normal maintenance items.

After what a friend of mine had to spend to get his MALLET right, I wouldn't touch the thing.

Yea I did a search on here and found a few horror stories. Maybe I'll just stick to a stock one.

I wouldn't go near a Mallet car -- any car, not just a V. Way too many unpleasant stories out there.

For the right price I'll sell ya mine.

The only thing that hasn't been modified is the A/C.

Mallets were overrated IMO.

Katech makes some nice stuff.

I wouldn't mind those wheels.

I love the looks of the car and with 60k miles I;d think if it had major issues it would have blown up by now. Service history looks good. but the last thing i need is to dump 28k cash on a problem money-pit.

Youd be better off buying a stock one and modding it yourself.

The radio buttons are peeling, it's total rubbish! :thehand:

Buy an 05 with a newer diff replaced under warranty for <$20K and spend the difference on maggie/mounts/bushings/shifter/suspension/exhaust/tune

If it has the mini tub, with upgraded shocks, and the upgraded axels. u might want to buy it...The dealer might not know if it has a mini-tub....i forget but what were the tire sizes...maybe u could tell by that. cause that is one of the only pro's i would find in paying that$$$ for it...Also take the vin# and call Mallet... They went out of business and reopened in NC......ask them if there is any warranty and what was done to the V...maybe he still has all the records.... anyway good luck:D

By the trim plate 04-v-004 looks like just the 4th one done posibbly? Would that help or hurt? Depends, as some have stated there was some issues here once with a mallet car but you'll get some great and some horrible stories with anything. If you like and are satisfied and you want buy it and good luck, if not keep searching and the right one will come around.

From what I gathered Mallet will not warranty anything on the old Mallet cars.

That is one reason to go BK.

A BIG MONEY PIT to make right and the block is to die for.

Scary car when running with someone who can drive it.
